Watersnake Tracer Transom Mount Trolling Freshwater Motor

Well I was hoping for a gem and got a turd. It worked once. It worked right out of the box but on our first trip out I had intermittent issues with switching between speeds and now I only have 1 reverse speed. Save your time and money and buy a Minn Kota or some other respected brand.After reaching out to the seller and describing my issues with this motor the seller and manufacturer determined the problem was the switch and replaced the switch at no cost. i installed the new part and this motor is working like new.time will tell on its longevity. i will update this review as needed. i would buy this trolling motor again but i would keep the sellers info handy in case something does fail.

I modified my sun dolphin 5 paddle boat ,it really works great very pleased didn't realized I didn't have it in 5 gear placed it in 5th and WOW I took off ,I laughed had a great time ,still making some modifications to my steering so I can lock motor and use the paddle boat steering,I'm HAPPY..I only weigh 158 lbs and the boat. weighs about 100 lbs so my speeds are nice,thinking about moving the rudder to the middle of the boat where the steering lever comes out the bottom and removing the factory rod connecting it directly to the steering lever..

UPDATE...was 5stars except now on the third use it no longer switches to the 4th or 5th speed...it caps at the 3rd speed making this super slow now...4 days outside of the return period so the amazon seller is trying to get in touch with the manufacturer. From my usage I'd say DONT BUY THIS BRAND.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  We're working on a robot boat prototype and needed some 12v trolling motors. So far these have been great. they are - easy on the battery. Well supported. Pretty dang robust.I've found the support to be the best part. I've needed a few bits like wiring info etc. and they have been very responsive and nice.

Received my Watersnake 54lb. 42" transom mount about 2 weeks ago . I was able to use it a couple of days ago on a Kokanee fishing trip. I ran it almost all day and seemed to perform well. The only thing I am disappointed in so far is how cheap the prop is. Very thin plastic. I had an old motorguide prop that fit perfectly. I keep the cheap one for a backup. I have had several trolling motors in the past so "Time will Tell" if it hold up as well as some others I've used. I'll report back after I have used it for about six months. I fish at least once a week so it won"t take long.

Not sure what to think ?Read reviews and thought maybe a few complainers.Have to say no fun being in the middle of Shawano lake (pronounced Shaunow) and it crapped out. Only reason I purchased this was because of the Covid thing with supply chains being disrupted Minkoto was not available.Works fantastic when working, Wish I could have gotten A Mankota12" Alumicraft

I have a 15' Aluminum Canoe, Performance wise tremendously , Motor is very quiet no vibration smooth output And good battery life .I'm Put it through its paces as of yet no issues.. If you see 5 stars everything's going good. And for the price you can't lose🤷🏼‍♂️🙂 A battery meter on the unit would be nice. Only dawn fall. Time will tell on the durability factor of this unit. 🤞 Overall fit and finish was a 🔟🤗 You can take your paddles and throw them overboard.🛶----> 🐍=🚤

Works every bit as well as a minKota. I have about 10 hours on the motor and it is still working like new. Very sturdy and smooth. The mounting bracket is made of metal instead of plastic like the minkota. Moves my 11ft Jon boat nicely. Highly recommend.
