Snow Fire
I gave this a 4 star. It would rate possibly a 3 at the lowest. I am not sure what book the people who rated this in the book section were reading. I will put a rating in there as well as on the kindle book, as I had read this book before. Stone is a good guy no matter what the other ratings say. He went looking for Flame as he saw her once and decided he wanted to marry her. That is a little shallow, but if he met her and she had a bad personality I am sure he would not want to marry her still. When Stone found Flame, she had been beaten and lost her memory. He originally told her and other people they were married, because he had taken her wet clothes off to keep her from getting sick and he didn't want people to get the wrong impression. Also in a moment of panic and wanting to get a chance to make her like him, so a lie poured out. He did not look at her while she was naked. He had another lady treat her wounds. When he got her back to his ranch the next day, and she started asking questions, he told her they were not married and why he let the other people think they were. He let her stay at his ranch and did not push her to do anything. As far as him flirting with Little Bird, he did it only the first time to make Shilo jealous and realize he(Shilo) was in love with Little Bird. I think he was just obvious to how he was acting and did not mean to give the wrong impression. If he was not obvious he was just acting that way to get Shilo to realize his feelings, he did not do it to intentionally hurt Flames feelings, or make her jealous. Anyway it states at the beginning of the book Stone is not used to being around decent women so he does not understand how they think. If anything Shilo and Flame should have said something to Stone and Little Bird instead of being hurt and angry about it all the time. However that sort of thing helps make a story. So you have to decide if you want to read. Someone also mentions rape. There are attempts to rape some of the main characters, but the only rape that happens is to Little Birds Aunt, and they do not really cover that other than it is going to happen, or has happened. Little Bird and her Aunt were outcasts from the tribe or considered a burden because the Uncle died. No one in the tribe cared for them and so when they got abducted Stone recused Little Bird but not her Aunt, due to circumstances. He later saves the Aunt from the life of being beaten and raped. Thought I would mention the rape as some people may turn away because they think something more is going on.Anyway it is a quick read. If you are looking for character depth and stuff like that you might not like it. It is a basic romance novel with not lot thrown in, but I still liked it anyway.

Predictable
I've got to admit, the read was entertaining. Now, the author uses references, phrases and names objects that didn't even exist on the timetable of this story; rollercoaster? OH COME ON!! Flame utilizes a vocabulary more apt for a Rhodes Scholar. (Wax on poetic). Ok, ok, it was entertaining. Too many coincidences make the story so predictable. I refuse to believe this book has been a bestseller.

not a fan
Not well written. Full of stereotypes and archaic and chauvinistic thinking. Poor story development. Too many sub plots. Don’t waste your time.
