Quick and Easy to Scoop and Bag!
This scooper is brilliant! I can scoop and bag in just a couple of motions without spilling. It is not perfect, but it as close as I have seen. Here are my issues: 1) The item arrived without the plastic bags - not a big concern for me as I have tons of bags that my newspapers arrive in, these work perfectly and are long enough to knot. 2) The bag will drag in the kitty litter while scooping if I don't hold it up with my non-scoop holding hand - sometimes I just let it drag, it is going straight into the garbage, so not a big deal - I only mention it as someone else had listed this as a huge negative. 3) There is a slightly larger opening in the sifter area towards the front of the scoop - presumably to hang it on a nail. I find this hole too big as it lets some of the broken off clumps fall through - this is probably my biggest complaint with the scooper and it is minor. I do keep my old scooper around to do a pass through every so often to get some of these. In one review I read someone had mentioned that the clumps were too big to pass through the funnel part. That has not been my experience. Perhaps it is related to the type of litter used. I have used both clumping crystals and walnut shells with this scoop with no issues. My cat has kidney issues so huge volume of fluid. So in summary, this scooper is easy to use and makes an unpleasant chore a lot quicker with less risk of mess.

Great idea, but the openings in the scooper are way too big.
The concept for travel is a great idea. I did use a rubber band around the handle to keep the bag in place, though. It was convenient to zip the bag closed and put it in the trash can. HOWEVER, the big problem is that openings on the strainer part of the scooper are way too big. I found it VERY difficult to clean the litter box properly because so much of what I was trying to scoop just fell right through the strainer.

Cheap bags, don't buy UPDATE:it's a quality control issue
UPDATE IS AT ENDI was excited to try this! I have two four month old female kittens.I use a Scoop Free Litter box. I still scoop the poop every night after work and immediately if I am home. I bought the Scoop Free to push the poop out of the way when I am not there to scoop. And to keep urine odor at bay. When the box came, I immediately ran into the bathroom with it and got ready to make my scooping job easier!Bag #1: tore before I could open the zipped top. Okay, maybe that was me. Too excited? Maybe it was a bad bag. Grabbed another.Bag #2: tore, but still usable once I got the zipped top open. Scooped poop, threw away in the outside trash can. That great seal must be there to keep the smell in, right? The next few bags tore, just the same, but were useable. The scoop worked!Once, I finally opened a bag without tearing a hole in it. Great! Scooped. Sealed. Tossed the sealed "STINK FREE Odor Seal Cat Waste Litter Bag" into a soon-to-be-taken-outside bathroom trash can. I sat the open topped trash can (which was lined with a trash bag enclosing the STINK FREE waste bag) outside the door of the master bedroom. Went back into master bedroom, closed door behind me. Fed kittens, swept floor, picked up room for about 15 to 20 minutes.Walked out of master bedroom door. *Almost knocked over by smell of cat poo*Okay, I am reasonable. Cat poop stinks. That's why I still scoop the "scoop free" litter box at least daily.Grabbed the trash bag out of the trash can and threw it away in the outside garbage can.Started to put a new trash can liner in the bathroom trash can. EEWWWWW.... stinks! So glad it's a cheap trash can!I have never put cat poo (or any poo) in this can. (I'm newly owned, took previous poo bags right outside).Bottom Line:- bags rip - cheap thin plastic bags tear trying to open the strong zip top- stinks - bags don't seal in smell even a little bit- scoop works, though - it scoops!- not recommended----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------UPDATE:I was puzzling over the positive reviews (how could our experiences be so very different?), so I ordered these bags again. This time, the bags were COMPLETELY different! I posted pictures where you can see the difference in the quality of the bags just by looking. So, in my experience, you have a 50/50 chance of getting useable bags.Bottom Line:- still wouldn't recommend because you don't know what you're going to get!

Great idea but not as handy as I thought it would be.
Get a few clumps in and then bag drags in the kitty box so have to hold it as well making scooping awkward. Bag is handy once done to zip closed and drop in trash.

Fun to use
Fun to use. I have an electric litter pan but I do scoop the salad feces once a week. This device actually makes it fun to scoop the litter box. Can you scoop it goes down the funnel and into a plastic bag. Since I just received it I have the bag sent with the device but I can see where you could use any Ziploc baggie you might have. I would strongly recommend this to any cat owner. It is well worth the investment

Great product, just not what I needed.
I have no issues with this product other than it is just too bulky to fit in my backpack for my cat. Its a great product for home but not necessarily needed because I have a litter Jeanne. If you have room its nice and sturdy and easy to use.

Not good for clumping litter
This doesn't work well with clumping litter. It's nice that the slots in the scoop are extra big so that the excess scooped dry litter sifts through, but the urine clumps are too big to fit into the narrow chute and bag. I'm better off fitting a regular dog/cat waste bag over a wider box to serve as a support and scoop the big chunks into that. Works a lot better!

Four years and still going strong with daily use.
We've had our Stink Free Cat Scoop (for bagging through the handle) for four years now. We usually scoop after every poop, so that's a lot of scooping over four years. We use cheap zippered sandwich bags and pull them all the way on the handle so there is no dragging bag. Cover poop with litter before scooping to keep scoop clean. Poop goes into the handle, and stays in the bag when the handle is pulled out. Zip up and toss in any trash.
