Chalk is a good for marking quilting lines
I like chalk for marking quilts. It makes a nice, fine line that is easily removed.

I had a problem with visibility of the marks made on both fabric and patterns. It has a sharp lead that tends to rip the pattern.

A Must If You Use Templates
There is nothing that I don't like about the mechanical Chalk pencil, it is everything that I was looking for, plus more.I was surprised to find this product and even more surprised after receiving and actually using them.

Great for applique

DONT USE FOR AIDA-hard to remove!
Used this to grid aida fabric for a cross stitch piece, thinking "fabric chalk pencil will be easy to remove!"I was very wrong. Took me an hour and a half with a soft brush and a mix of dawn, rubbing alcohol and hot water to scrub the gridding off, and there are definitely spots where a shadow mark still is and it kinda ruined my piece. Pretty disappointed. I guess it would work for a full coverage piece but don't use on any area you aren't going to stitch over.
