Powermatic 1/4-Inch Premium Mortise Chisel and Bit (1791091),Silver

This was a replacement bit and chisel. I only needed the bit but unfortunately Powermatic doesn’t sell just the bit. Arrived very sharp and did not need any tuning to be ready to use.

I have a Rikon mortises and there bits are cheap and break almost instantly. I bought these and had to remove the old 5/8” ID bushing. Replaced it with a 3/4” ID and the new chisel works perfectly

I don't normally leave reviews but this product warrants my time. It came looking pretty good, pretty clean grinding and the but was sharp. I sharpened the chisel both inside and out and chucked it up. It cuts very nicely. Other manufacturer's bits do not compare. I will be buying this brand from now on.

The only bit I’ve found that fits the powermatic mortise machine without extending the chuck.

Worked fine, Using it on Walnut and Maple. Stays straight and holds its edge. Cost a little more, but is worth it.
