Stunning photos.
This book is exactly what i was looking for. Containing pictures of 60 or so locales and the terrain of that area, the information I needed is all here. Being new to Rosies, I was at a complete loss trying to figure out what was what and which I was interested in getting. Not any longer. It also contains info about some of the designer morphs available. Fantastic book and a great deal!

Must have book for Rosy boa enthusiasts
This book is very hard to find now, unfortunately. It mostly consists of photographs of different Rosy boa localities and morphs. (Locality is the natural variation that Rosy boas in different regions have, morphs are selectively bred to have particular characteristics.) It is extremely helpful to me, as a Rosy boa enthusiast. My Rosy boa that was sold to me in 1998 was only classified as a "mid Baja Rosy boa", so this book helped me to narrow down what specific locality she could have been thanks to the photos. It is very interesting the variation between the localities as well as even within the same locality. I hope that someone will do a study to determine why certain Rosy boas look the way they do. For instance, what is the evolutionary advantage for them of thick stripes vs thin, clean stripes vs jagged, and how each one either helps them blend into their environment or perhaps deters predators.Highly recommended and a must-have for any Rosy boa enthusiast!

Great Pictures, Lacking in Actual Info
The photos in this book are stunning. I found the information about the Rosy Boas and their care, lacking. The preface talks about the three authors discussing writing a book about keeping and caring of these snakes. There is very little information in this area. The editing was a little careless as well. There was a single page on the shedding process in the middle of a three page section on disease and parasites. It was awkwardly places and really should have been placed after the disease section. You are reading about disease and parasites and mid sentence, you have to turn forward two pages to pick the same sentence back up. For guys who have spend decades studying and breeding this species, there just wasn't nearly the amount of information as I had hoped for.

Beautiful photographs and great information
Great photography of localities. The information on husbandry and breeding is consistent with all available resources. You won't find a lot more out there. I highly recommend this book for the Rosy Boa enthusiast.

Great Boa book
This is a book written by people that have been raising Rosy Boas for years. So it has great information on these snakes care. It is also packed with photos of local specific boas. Also morphs that have been bred in these boas.

Gorgeous Photos, Not Much in the Way of Care Information
The photos in this book are amazing. I was able to identify my new Rosy Boa just by comparing her to the photos. I took off a star because I would have like a more detailed section on care. The care section is the first quarter of the book and almost seems an afterthought to the beautiful pictures. If you're looking for detailed care and feeding instructions, I would try something else, but if you want to marvel at the various Rosy Boas colors and patterns, you're in the right place.
