Formula E: The Story

I'm a car guy, so I was hoping this book would give me a good look at the cars of Formula E. What a disappointment. This book is really nothing more than an enormous advertisement. We get to see all of the cities the circuits are in, we get to see the drivers, we get testimonials from famous rich people, but we get very few views of the cars or races and no shots of the internals. At least they have the results from the first 4 years.

I’ve slowly been warming up to Formula E. Ive been an F1 fan for a long time, but it has become so boring the past few years I wanted to branch out and find other racing series to watch. Formula E is pretty competitive racing, some fun rule differences due to the electric nature of the vehicles, and a bigger field of actual contenders than F1. Plus it’s all about racing, whereas F1 gets into the glitz and glam of the social circuit. My main complaint about Formula E is that nearly insufferable noise the cars make; I wish they could change that. Sounds like a hives of bees piercing your ear. All that aside, this is a great book if you want to learn more about the series and electric vehicles in general.
