My old buckwheat pillow is about 20 years old. I discovered this type of pillow after an expensive and exhaustive search for a pillow to help decrease migraines r/t a neck and shoulder injury.This pillow is a wonderful addition.Pros: The fill is perfect, pleasantly expands the casing with enough give to allow shaping of the buckwheat for personal preferenceThe casing is sturdy, broadcloth type fabricComes with a cloth bag for storage or transportUsed daily for 5 months with flattening of the buckwheat or deterioration of the casingCons: I haven’t found any.Some reviews have commented on the odor. I found that to be from the cloth. I carefully removed the buckwheat and washed the casing. No further odor. I wash most everything before use anyway.The “crunchy” sound is normal. Try placing the pillow in another pillow cover/protector and then a pillow case.The comfort of this pillow exceeds my expectations.

I can shape the pillow to shape my head. Very comfortable. I've been using these pillows for years. Needed a new one.

Very nice travel pillow. Just the right thickness to keep my neck from getting sore. I like that the buckwheat pillows don’t “push back” against you, so much as give you a comfortable cradle for your head and neck, thought the noise when you shift your weight took a couple of nights to get used to. I like that you can empty the pillows contents to wash the cover.

I really enjoy using this pillow. It is just what I was wanting in a pillow. Good support, good breathability, and nice cover. It's a good buy.

I like buckwheat pillows and they all claim to use superior buckwheat. I chose this one based on weight and this one had the most buckwheat fill. My first pillow arrived and was 2lbs less than advertised. They sent me a travel pillow to make up the difference and that was fine. I bought a second pillow as a gift it was 2.75lbs light. I did an exchange and got the third pillow it was over 3lbs lighter than the the second pillow! I ended up keeping the second pillow. The company no longer answers my messages. Ha! Other than that the pillow is fine. If you’re buying a buckwheat pillow pay attention to how much buckwheat is in the pillow. The more buckwheat in the pillow, the more flexibility to remove buckwheat for more comfort. It’s best to have to much than not enough.

I've had a buckwheat pillow for many years, and finally decided to replace it by a standard size one, so I am accustomed to the comfort it provides. One can nestle one'd head to just the right position, and the pillow retains that position, so, no neck pain when one wakes up. Once the head and spine are aligned, one does not need to move one's head constantly to find relief.

Needed to buy another pillow for a place I visit often. My old buckwheat pillow is more than 20 years old. Bought the same size as the old pillow and it works just as well. Very happy with my purchase and I will sleep better away from home.

I slept one night on it and got a real bad allergy in the skin, it was very irritated, and my husband got asthma. This material is a deceit. Apart of that, it was smelling a lot and the cover let the dust coming out, even using asking with the free cover included and the one of my own set. The only good thing is its firmness, it's nothing soft.

This is my second buckwheat pillow and I’m very happy with the quality. My previous pillow did not have a zipper to allow for adjustment of the buckwheat hulls. This one has a zipper for adjusting the amount of hulls. The fabric is nice quality. Overall this is a very comfortable pillow and just the right size.

I found it strange the first few days, it's heavy, I thought it would be fluffy, but it's made of wheat so it's really heavy, I have a habit of putting my arm under the pillow at night, so it feels like it fits snugly on my head, I stopped waking up with a stiff neck, I found it strange at first, now I sleep all night with it.

I love that the pillow can be sized up or down, based on your preference. Very comfortable, I bought it for my boyfriend and I want to get one for myself now!

A little expensive but I have ended up splitting the filling for comfort and now have 2 great pillows. I have been searching for a comfortable pillow for years as I suffer from a nasty spine disease and for the first 2 nights using this I have actually slept much betterHighly recommended

Build quality is good, pillow is heavy and has great support.Only problem is, it came with a weird sour smell. Took almost a month to get rid of it. Tried to wash the cover as well, not helping. I guess the smell is from buckwheat hulls.
