TIVIT Rectangular Ironing Board Cover for The Original Big Board - AlumiTek Silicone Metallic Coating, Thick Padding, Scorch Resistant, Elastic Edge, 59 x 22, Made in Italy

I purchased this to cover my handcrafted ironing table that measures 58 1/2” x 22” (similar to a Big Board or Better Board). It was a tight fit at first, but after a bit of ironing and adjusting the velcro (and top elastic) straps it fit perfectly. It irons like a dream, and the felt padding is high quality - far better than the layers of quilting cotton and silver thermal ironing fabric I originally used to cover my board. It also doesn’t have that strong chemical smell I usually get with a new cover. Bravo (and the price was right for a cover of this size)!

This product came as described by seller. The product is really great quality material. It does fit as described by seller. The padding is great. And yes it is a bit pricey but the quality makes up for the price. And because it does fit a rectangular board for ironing.!!!!

This is just what I expected but when I was putting it on my board, the cord in the sizing module was not knotted so it slipped out and I was not able to retrieve it since it went back inside the casing of the cover. It works well even without being fitted to the board. It still is a little lumpy from the folding but I imagine it will work itself out

Bought this to go on my Big Board rectangular ironing board, as it was advertised to fit. The elastic was very tight and broke when trying to stretch it over the Big Board. Asked Amazon for a return - the return slip shipped it directly to TIVIT. It has been 3 weeks and no replacement or word from TIVIT. Amazon just says the supplier hasn't responded by the date promised and I need to contact them directly (but doesn't give a link to do that.) It appears I now have no cover nor the money for the cover. Won't buy from TIVIT again.Update: Tried contacting TIVIT. THey don't return emails or calls. UPS shows the return was accepted at their front desk on July 22. Buyer beware: Once you buy, the product is yours whether it works or not. Amazon and TIVIT will not stand behind the product. TIVIT has not returned my money nor sent a replacement. Don't buy from TIVIT!

I had bought this cover first in order to get the shape I needed to make. I bought a sheet of plywood from Home Depot. I had them cut it to 22in by 59in (leftover plywood will make bird houses later on). I used my tools at home to round the corners to the shape of the cover. I also bought a simple ironing board (standard size) from Target for about $20. I lined up the plywood to be centered on the ironing board. Made my marks to drill some holes. I had a tapered sink bit for my drill to make the bolts sit flush with the surface. I bolted the plywood to the ironing board in 4 spots. I also spread out some Liquid Nails between the ironing board and plywood for extra hold power. Then simply put this new cover on. It works perfectly! All total, I spent about $125 to make a new quilting ironing board. Half the price of buying the Original Big Board ironing board. Great money saver.

This cover fit over my present rectangle ironing board perfectly. The cover is made of a great quality material. The cover may present very wrinkly but the wrinkles iron out very well.

Love the cover BUT the elastic is too short and the casing too small to put a new one thru. I have had to improvise a method of stretching the cover to get it to fit the big board it is supposed to fit. If it comes loose I will have to sew on another casing so I can feed a new elastic thru. But I do like the cover.

The elastic in the casing was too short and the pad could not be installed until I replaced the elastic with a longer cord. Due to casing construction at the beginning and end, I had to cut a hole in the casing. After replacing the elastic, the pad fit perfectly. The vendor seems unwilling to see that a simple fix for the main problem, would be to put in a longer elastic. Too bad as the pad itself is quite nice.
