Perfect for expandable tea leaves
These are so nice that I bought two more. My favorite feature is the lid part. Even if you don't have loose leaf tea you can use the lid on your mug to keep your tea hot without the strainer. But I mostly use this for my oolong and green tea that expands three times it's amount. People it's awesome I love everything about this product. I probably will end up buying a few more just so I have one for every morning. And I've put my first one through the dishwasher and it does just fine just put the lid on a top shelf away from any heating element. But fantastic product just fantastic!

Great product
I love this for loose tea. It works great, easy to clean and a large enough capacity.

Works great!.
Well made. Fine mesh does a good job of keeping leaf residue out of the tea. Some very fine particles do get through, but they are minimal and are no real issue. The cover works well while brewing as well as a cover for my mug to keep the tea hot between sips. The 1 star reviews are meaningless. It is advertised as a tea diffuser, not a coffee brewer. Unfortunately, shipping damage can occur with any item and you are protected through Amazon for a return or replacement.

Comparable to the ForLife version, but not as nice
ForLife’s brew-in-mug infuser has been my favorite for years. This one is roughly the same size and shape (it should work just as perfectly with pint glasses), but the finishing is a little different and the sheet metal used here is clearly thinner than ForLife’s. The tiny holes appear to be very close in size to ForLife’s.I have to question the extra sealing ridge at the bottom of the lid. It’s an extra valley to deal with when cleaning. Also, if you fill your cup or glass past the top of an infuser’s perforated section and pressure builds under the lid while your tea is steeping, the pressure will be released either as gas through the lid (which is now double-sealed) or as liquid over the sides of your cup or glass. For what it’s worth, the rubber material on the new lid has an aroma. I can’t say if our existing ForLife units smelled when we got them, but this infuser is going back to Amazon unused.

Good for a cuppa
Have been using this about a year. No issues with construction or durability, looks as good as it did when I got it. Fits all my standard sized mugs. Occasionally overflows if I fill the cup too high and press the lid into the strainer instead of just resting it on top. After steeping, I let the leaves rest/drain in the inverted lid for an hour or two, then shake out into the compost before they dry and stick in the strainer, and rinse the strainer and lid with water and let air dry. When I was reading reviews before purchasing, at least reviewer mentioned the strainer popping apart. It’s held together by small spot welds and I can imagine if a sponge was shoved in the strainer or pressed vigorously against the outside while scrubbing, it could break the weld. But I can’t see the need to scrub it if you’re only steeping tea and not letting the leaves mold in it.
