Perfect for Plaster
This is THE stud finder if you have lathe and plaster walls. Electric (read: expensive) stud finders were giving me imprecise results, and this little guy did the job first try.Pros: Affordable. Cheap, even. Works perfectly on lathe and plaster walls. Can be stuck to a fridge/metal beam/whatever for storage. Easy to fit in any pocket, can be stuck to another tool to keep it from vanishing into the bottom of a toolbag.Cons: If I couldn't use the magnet in it to stick it to things, I'd probably loose it since it is so small

Old Home's Best Friend
I have an old home with plaster walls. Normal stud scanners don't work (I guess they could if you buy the ones that cost over $100). This little thing finds the nails used to hold lathe into studs and it works well. I was shocked that a $6 magnet could solve all my little home improvement needs.I mean, I entrusted this cheap little "stud finder" with the mounting of my TV! Now I have 65" of joy on my old plaster wall.

Not so strong
The magnet is not that strong compared to other brands,,, the seller contacted about my review and offer full refund, great customer service I guess

Simple and effective
Such a practical, compact, and battery free tool! Used it to help wall mount a TV and can't recommend it enough.

Works on my plaster wall
I live in an apartment building with a plaster wall. I soon learned that my stud finder was useless, so I ordered Stud Pop. There are YouTube videos explaining how to use it- very easy and I was able to map out my wall within minutes. Great idea.

Simple but does the job
I couldn’t spend a bunch of money so I got this and it does the job!

Great idea but
I love the idea of this but it doesn’t really work on my old lathe and plaster walls. I went over my whole bedroom wall and it only picked up 2 spots in the whole space.I tried it with some other matériels and it worked well just not the 100+ year old walls I was hoping to use it on.
