I'm surprised what a difference Friendship lamps have made between my friends and I. I'm in Vegas, another is in Texas, and a third is in Maine. We are connected on the same network so when one of us touches our lamp, all three glow the color we've chosen for ourselves. It's an effortless and cool reminder that we are connected through friendship and these lamps. It's supposedly easy to write a text or call, but everybody is busy. It's so easy and fun to touch our lamps and see them glow. They are fantastic gifts.

Bought 2 one for me and one for a friend in another state. You have to use the app to change colors or to do anything with the lamp, well it only works one way… so only 1 person can have access to both lamps meanwhile the other person is not able to do anything. Does that not defeat the entire purpose? Isnt the whole point to be able to change each others?? Only thing you can do it tap the lamp you dont get to pick the color or anything. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

**update 9/1: I suggest you read the original post. It has a review of the first version of this lamp. We submitted this review and was contacted by customer support. They exchanged the lamps for newer version. So this update reviews that version. we received the newest version v2. Quality, performance, software use, and value are way better. We have tested for a month. This so a great gift idea. They work way better then the first version. The kids love connecting with grandma!! My mom still has some trouble with keeping connectivity to the Wi-Fi. I suggested she move it closer so we’ll see how that goes. The V2 install way easier and have better software support. I suggest that if you purchase this you make sure that you get the V2 not the fist version. If it’s difficult to install or confusing, I suggest returning it for the newer version. They have great customer service and returns and exchanges were easy! I do look forward to purchasing this for more family members! just do not purchase the first version of this. Please read the first review about that version.**update 8/1: I am updating to say what professional customer service this company has. They saw this review and was very proactive to fix the problem as best as they can. They have good customer service and stand behind their product. So added a second star. They are sending a replacement and I will update the review after I receive it.*original*I loved the idea of this light. We travel all over the world and the company assured me I could it it anywhere. My family misses us so much. This would have spanned time and space.Alas, it’s a piece of junk. I guess some things are better as concepts. Software is not user friendly, complicated to set up, tons of software glitches, and troubleshooting section is sparse. Even refers to itself for help. Like “if this is happening to your lamp, see the troubleshooting section.” Or “you can contact customer support” and no link or info how to do that. That’s all you get. Not even worth the price.So I got it connected and set up properly useing the app, but then tried to connect a second lamp to my group, and a smorgasbord of other issues and glitches came up. I got mine fixed and then they did an software update and that missed up my whole account.I never got to use the lamp. My lamp is stuck on one color- not resettable not connected to anything.I even tried Resetting the lamp to factory settings- you have to hold down the button for 2-3 min and then it MIGHT reset… good luck holding your finger there that long. Mine didn’t even reset after double that. (See photo)Customer support is great, but it should not be this complicated for the price I paid.. just to set it up. Overpriced LED. I got this friendship lamp as a mothers day gift and I absolutely love it! As a Pinterest influencer Im always looking for the next best trending thing to give as gifts and I finally found it in this lamp! The colors are beautiful and it give me and my mom a way to connect!

I got a couple of these to connect with my sister and the soft light with all the different colors is so cute and pretty we talked about getting one for her daughter's room as a nightlight that also lets them communicate :) It's amazing that these can connect any distance and with groups of people. Kinda reminds me of the fake galleons that Dumbledore's Army use in Harry Potter to get messages to each other all at once in a discreet way.

I bought two of these lamps, one for me and one for a friend that lives in the UK. The lamps are VERY bright, with no option to control brightness, there are only 16 colors which are fine, but most of them hurt to look at when you first turn the lamp on. The lamp dims over time, and you need to contact the manufacturer directly and all they can offer is to extend the amount of time it takes to dim up to 24 hours. for such an expensive lamp I was hoping for more functionality.

Right out of the box, this thing was easy to use. Linking with friends is fun, but I was pleasantly surprised at how great it functions as a mood light before bed.The colors are bright, it can basically become a nightlight on steroids. It’s perfect for setting the mood - really, any mood! Romantic, relaxed, edgy, and everything in between. The soft purple hits different, I highly recommend it.
