Highly recommend, artist quality paint at a student bargain price.
I agree with the other reviewer that these are like Holbein but much much cheaper. Actually, I like them more than Holbein because more of the colors were vibrant and useful for mixing, instead of being a dull convenience mix (or pale color mixed with white) like so many in the Holbein line. These flow well onto wet paper. I will buy them again and highly recommend them. Lightfast testing will take place over the next year for The Enchanted Gallery's lightfast page, where I also tested Mjello's Mission Gold and Holbein brands. This set did not come with a white or black, however they are not used by most watercolor artists. Many colors can be mixed with blue or brown to make a color similar to black. White would be a convenient way to lighten a color, but it's better to just add water to make any color lighter. Otherwise you get a chalky and semi opaque look if you mix watercolors with white. I only mention it because I've seen complaints when sets don't have white or black. This very much seemed to be made with professional artists in mind, with the exception of "opera" which I know a lot of people like, but this is too fugitive of a neon pink to be used in any serious work.

Shin Han SWC watercolor set, listed as professional Watercolor paint
I ordered these based on the good customer reviews and my own curiosity because these paints are Korean. My favorite paint is Mijello Misson Gold (made in Korea) and I’ve tried Many other brands like Daniel Smith, Cotman, Windsor and Newton, Holbein and etc,. The unboxing of these Shin Han watercolors (also manufactured in Korea) is nearly identical to the Mijello Boxed set. The marking on the tubes is slightly different, but I’m guessing the paint quality is similar. The Mijello Lemon yellow is 4 stars for lightfastness while the ShinHan gets 2 stars. I looked this up and 3 stars is excellent (many are 3 star) and 4 stars is permanent for Shin Han. The Mijello Misson gold, 5 Stars is permanent, 4 stars excellent. Mission Gold Bright Opera is 2 stars, while Shin Han Opera is 1 star, I assume fugitive or likely to fade in UV light. Similar enough! I will share an updated swatch test but I get the feeling these paints are nearly identical which would be great news. The Mijello Misson Gold is 34 tubes for $108.99 and the Shin Han was around $85 for 32 tubes ( one less crimson red tube and one less red violet tube in the Shin Han set). That’s a good price. An Excellent value for beginners and students and “professional” enough for advanced painters. You could easily buy this for a watercolor class and split it with several students and charge them a few bucks to save everyone some cash. There’s a lot of paint in these tubes! I’d suggest if you paint a masterpiece then spend a little cash and put it behind UV protective glass when you frame it and nothing lasts forever technically so get a digital copy if you happen to get lucky and paint something amazing. I’m going to give this 5 stars unless I find some major issue and I’ll update with a swatch test later.

No white OR black
I didn't pay enough attention and ordered this set, but there is no black or white. Not a huge deal, but I was surprised. I just went to Amazon and ordered both, but you should be aware. They are nice for the price, and I would buy them again!

Such vibrance
It sounds nuts, but I'll take these over Holbein and Dan Smith any day. I love their vibrance and how they blend. There's just so much to love. I once saw a review that complained all of the blues were the same, so I tested that first in a good light environment. I think they either got a faulty set or need their vision checked. A few of the blues are similar wet, but they dry true to their description. I've run into that with a lot of watercolours, though. Especially anything blue.Bottom line, I love these and I'm making the effort to buy all 100-some odd available colours.

Amazing
Love these painted. I have other pro watercolor paints and the one pigment colors are awesome. I scan my work, so I don't know what the light fastness is but my art doesn't rely on it. I have schmincke and they are pretty grainy. Shinhan doesn't have many that have that texture. So this is a matter of preference. I do suggest this for students and hobbyists. If you want to sell your art, besure to put it behind UV glass. Overall I'm super happy.

Beautiful Paint
I really have enjoyed painting with SWC. It has great pigment and the colors are very bold. It mixes with the water well and is great on my cold press paper. I will continue to use this paint!

Beautiful!
I'm no expert in watercolors, so for me these are quite beautiful. The packaging protected them very well, the box is quite sturdy. The set has a lot of greens and warm colors, not as many cools or blues but overall they mix very well with each other. They definitely feel professional, comparing them to the Koi pocket sets.

My Very Favorite Watercolor Paints
These paints are vibrant and mix very well. I have other very well-known tube paints preferred by professional artists and always return to my Shinhan SWC paints.

Extremely disappointed
I am extremely disappointed with the falsely advertisement of this set of paint. I have Mijello gold class which is a professional grade set. One of my watercolor instructor uses Shin Han so I decided to give it a try. In the description it says it is premium professional artist grade, but when I received the box, the lightfastness on all the tubes are only 2 stars, and when I googled it, it turned out that this set SCW is actually student grade where it did not specify in the description or the box the paint came in. I am so angry about being deceived as I paid for almost the same price for the Mijello one only to get this crappy grade which I do not want. I already squeeze some of the paint in my palette so it's not like I can even return it. Whoever is looking to buy Shin Han paint, do not get it from this buyer due to false advertisement. I am also disappointed in Amazon for letting this to happen!
