HT-44 Speaker review for my 1995 Electra Glide or... Biketronics -vs- Hogtunes 4.25" 4 ohm speakers.
I bought these speakers to replace the almost new biketronics speakers. I could not crank up the stereo up at highway speeds as the sound from the biketronic speakers was really distorted. It was one of three things. The speakers, the amp or the stereo. I elected to try the cheaper option first and replace the biketronics speakers with the Hogtunes HT-44 speakers.I held my breath and fired up the stereo. OMG! The Hogtunes sound 120% better than the Biketronics ever did. I could only stand the volume at 2/3 in the garage. The sound was really clean and loud. Actually I was able to use the equalizer and adjust the independent settings on the stereo. With the Biketronics speakers I had to dial out every ounce of bass. With the Hog's I can actually use the bass! Oh I almost forgot. I'm not sure who makes speakers for Biketronics. They were not even branded with Biketronics logos. In the end the biketronics were a big waste of money. For about 20 bucks cheaper the Hog's are a much better investment. I cannot recommend them enough. If they can make my low to mid range stereo sound this good I can't imagine how good they would sound with a better amp and stereo. Yup. I am now a happy camper, I mean rider.

Hogtunes speakers
I really like the sound but the speakers are short for the mounting holes

Awesome.
Sounds great. However they are suppose to be a direct fit for 1989-1995 Electra glide. After hours of fidgeting them, the 3 mounting bolts would not seat properly. The mounting part of the speaker is actually thicker so it PHYSICALLY won’t go in far enough. So instead of using the 3 screws to mount. I’m only using 2 on the bottom for each. They’re snug, but was a little annoying.

Yea, they rock!
I was looking for replacement speakers for my 1996 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic, they're hard to find, actually...to fit the pre 1998 touring machines. i benefited from reading a few reviews, so I thought I'd ad something for folks who still have these older machines, but the sound system has gone south. I actually swapped out my cassette player for a "plug and play" stereo system from Aquatic AV, they've been building waterproof systems for marine applications for quite some time, so they're no new comers. They just recently got into the motorcycle market, from what I understand. With a built in 288 watt amp, these speakers sing quite nicely. I did the rear speakers, they fit the front also, and I believe I'll be buying a set for the front too...even though the original fronts are still working. Hope this helped. Dave

By far the best replacement speakers for my 92' Harley Davidson FLTCU
Don't look any farther. these are by far the best speakers for a Harley FLTCU out there. Perfect fit. Sound is so superior to old factory speakers... it's stupid. You don't need an additional amp, these will blow you out of the seat. Install these first, then decide if you need to do anything else. Buy these.
