22 Pc. Smart Bungee System

These are great and have already found uses for my bike. There are some better adjustable bungees on the market, but cost $7-8 each. Here you have a set of 4 different lengths (12" to 48") and lots of different connection possibilities to make any length you want up to about 12 feet. Reasonable price on Amazon, but did find at my local Sam's on special for 1/3 the price. However a one time deal. I bought several as gifts too. Bungee is as good a quality as most common bungees and not so bulky as the rubber straps with wire ends. The twist and lock connection are easy to use and just have to push in with a little pressure to unlock. Everyone should have a set of these.

This system allows one to pick the most appropriate end or connector and the most appropriate length of bungee. For one that needs to keep things from rattling around in the truck and for periodic general-purpose use, I've been very pleased thus far. I've found the "Y" and the in-line connectors the most versatile, allowing the assembly of task specific hold down. I picked up some "smart bungee" accessories (individual parts and additional cords) at a local hardware store to round out the set, but the multiple piece set reviewed here is was more economical than buying all the individual pieces separately.Not sure how the bungee cords themselves will hold up under entended use (years), but I suspect the cords will hold up as well as similar cords with permanent ends. The connectors and ends themselves seem very sturdy and several have plastic coatings to avoid scratching surfaces.Other reviwers voiced concerns over tight or loose connections between the cords and the ends. While some connectors are tighter than others, I don't foresee this being an issue under normal use. Under severely bouncing or cyclic loads it might work lose, but I have not seen nor do I expect to experience this issue.

Great idea, not full executed. I bought these for my father on Christmas and he was elated to receive them. Just one problem...many of the connectors are defective and we couldn't connect the cords to them. Some worked beautiful, some were a 5 minute battle, others wouldn't work at all. Really disappointed.

Its ok

Love this product. Well designed, works as advertised. One set is nice, but I would occasionally find I didn't have enough of some piece(s) to strap something down as easily (and simply) as I'd like. I recommend buying 2 of these 22-piece sets for the vast majority of needs that arise.

I totally love this invention. I use them at work to strap computers and boxes of peripherals to flat carts. The only problem I've had is when one cart bumped another it shattered a plastic hook. This product would get a hands down 5 stars if they made the hooks metal instead of plastic, made the hooks different sizes and if they sold the attachment pieces separately. These should be stocked by every retail store everywhere and unfortunately you can't find them anywhere.
