In my opinion it is not loud. I have it on the porch just outside the door and can not hear it with door closed.

Has anyone used this to dehydrate ground beef? Did it turn out well?

I had no issues but you do need to use low fat ground beef. I believe I used the 90/10 ratio of beef to fat. I used this for a deyhdrated backpacking meal and had no problems on the trail with it.

Is this compatible with the trays from the fd-75pr model?

I used my father-in-law’s older trays with my new machine
