These chairs are very solid, I purchased the arm chairs along with the regular chairs. The workmanship and packaging were excellent. I thought the assembly was straight forward and easy. I am not really sure why one arm chair is the same price as two armless chairs, but the quality is exceptional so I can't complain. I would absolutely consider purchasing International Concept unfinished wood products again. In terms of assembling and finishing the chairs, I used the following approach. I was vey happy with the result. Assembly - Although not specified in the instructions, I used wood glue (Tight bound III) on all of the the stretcher joints connecting the legs and on the joints connecting the arms. I believe this added a lot of strength to chair build. - The chairs do not include feet, I added 3/4 inch heavy duty screw in sliders to each leg. Seat finish - Sanded 120/180/220. The seat needs to be water popped (wipe with a wet rag) and sand one final time with 220. after it dries - this step makes a huge difference. - A pre-stain conditioner was applied prior to using a Varathane Gel Stain - Carbon Grey - Several coats of a satin water based polyurethane (GF High Performance). An oil based semi-gloss urethane would also be a great choice The chair finish (not including the seat) - Painted with Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch 2X Ultra spray paint (dark walnut) - Once the spray paint was completely cured, painted with Behr Semi gloss interior paint (sprayed) - Randomly sanded the chairs with 120 grit to achieve the weathered look - Polished the entire chair (not including seat) with fine steel wool and paste wax (Trewax)

I had a big wood outdoor dining table custom made and these were stained to match. I keep them covered in winter but they've been very solid for a couple years now. The build quality is really good and they are pretty heavy.

I needed a chair with arms for my 90 year old mom. This chair matched the style of my other chairs. It was easy to assemble. We stained it to match the table color. It took the stain very well. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the chair wobbled a lot. We tried to adjust it, but it was still off. We ended up ordering some chair tacks and put 2 washers on the leg that was too short. My mom loves it. It is very sturdy and she feels more secure getting up and down now.

Sturdy, quality,easy to put together and being able to paint as wanted.

Excellent quality! Beautiful wood. I'm staining it rather than painting it.

I had used a gel stain on the wood, and wow it never had taken. this rubber tree stuff dosent want to take a stain, unless you spray lacquer it. I ended up taking the stain off, and painted the chairs. the chairs are sturdy i really wanted a stain on them but oh well. I guess I shouldve bought used and sanded then stained. I will half to fall in love with the paint. it will just take a while. other then that I do like the arm chairs.

These look perfect but it doesn’t mention seat height in the description Does anyone know?

Fairly easy to put together. Comfortable.

Easy enough to put together.I wish the arms were a little longer. Very sturdy, should last.
