Made butter for the first time that was flawless clear beautiful of course green butter. This is a cheat and a half. Not only are you able to decarboxylate your ganja but your also able to see if your oven is running hot or a little cold and exactly how much. Which is nice to know in all circumstances you know. The thermometer is absolutely fantastic. It has a Long reach and is sturdy. The decarbox is also sturdy food grade silicone. Very impressed. And highly recommended by me 😁

I really like the build of this box. It has a nice, sturdy feel to the material which is a bit more rigid than it's counterpart from the Magical Butter Machine. I was able to decarboxilate 4oz of herbs and using the included thermometer I was alerted when the herbs reached the desired temperature. This takes the guesswork out of wondering if your herbs are activated and ready to use for infusions. Pros: The included thermometer is easier to use compared to the Magical Butter version. Like the Magical Butter version it has a digital display allowing you to select between Fahrenheit and Celsius values. You can easily see the temperatures without needing to wake the unit up as seen with the Magical Butter version. The magnet on the back is not quite as good since it barely sticks on the metal surface of my oven. In comparison the Magical Butter thermometer has no issues sticking to my oven. The silicon that the box is comprised of is more sturdy than I was expecting which is a good thing in my opinion. Cons: This box is not 100% smell proof but based on my experience with these types of decarboxilation units, this is par for the course. I'm hopeful that one day there will be a smell proof box. Your neighbors may figure out what you have cooking in the oven but at least it prevents a lot more of the aroma from escaping. Overall: I'm quite happy with this unit. It does what I need it to do and I recommend getting this over the more expensive one from Magical Butter.

The main reason I got it was to make my whole house not smell when I’m decarboxylating which it did fantastically. Unless you were directly next to the oven smelling it, the odors are mostly gone. Very helpful. Another nice feature I liked on this device is its ability to fine tune the temperature in the decarb box according giving you the ability to decarb longer at the desired temperature. Seemed to have worked great. Obviously given its size, it won’t work for larger scale production of making edibles but could easily get 3-4 ounces in. Very cool little tool!

Very easy to use. Unless you are a little clumsy(my wife). I might have put the holes in different locations as the probe has a bend in it. But it doesn't really affect anything. You can just stab the probe thru where ever you want anyway. I recommend doing a preheat/test at the temp you will use it at. To check it against your oven temp and when i did it gave of a faint smell for a few minutes when it first heated up. I let it cool and heated it a second time and got no smell at all. When it is full it takes a lot longer to heat up than when it's empty. I set my timer when mine was within 15 degrees of my target temp. Once full and heated the internal temp doesnt fluctuate as much or as fast as the oven temp does. That is helpful as temp and time can be very important. However if you overheat, it takes longer to cool down than you might like. So do some practice runs before you overcook something. Does not come with a battery. It uses 1 AA.

I'm sure it helps contain the odor of baking cannabis, but it doesn't eliminate it to where the entire house won't know exactly what you're cooking. I also noticed the thermometer included will sometimes display a wild temperature jump, seemingly randomly. Overall, however, the thermometer keeps it pretty close to within 10 degrees of what my analog oven thermometer reads. My main beef is that the box itself cannot be cleaned of the weed smell. I hand washed, soaked, and ran in the dishwasher, but had no success in making the box smell less weedy. The problem is that when I open the cabinet I keep it in, you definitely get a weed odor. So, I guess I'll store it in a plastic zip bag just to be good. Petty complaint: Not a fan of the enormous ALPHA420 logo on the box. Some of us don't want to have stuff that screams 420BLAZEIT!

Not foolproof but science really isn’t. Monitor temperatures are and shut off oven and open door at the right times, let oven start to cool and warm a bit again.

I ordered this edibox from Alpha420 (through Amazon) on 10 Oct 2022. The edibox itself is perfect and works as advertised. The thermometer on the other hand was a dud, it did not work properly no matter what I tried. Understanding that sometimes items can be faulty, instead of leaving a negative review, I reached out to their customer service and explained how the thermometer didn't work. They responded back within a couple of hours of my original email (on a weekend) and told me that they would send me a new thermometer as a replacement. The new thermometer showed up, it works as advertised and I was sent some extra Alpha420 stickers as well. Customer service was bang on. A gentleman by the name of Jonathan was easy to communicate with and ensured I was looked after. I would recommend and have recommended this product to my friends as it does work great. If by chance you have any issues (it should be very rare), send their customer service a message as I'm sure they would try and help you the best they can.
