I bought these to replace the regular toothpicks that came in these 3D mechanical model kits. Many issues were raised in reviews regarding the failure or other issues incurred when using the supplied toothpicks. They are tight fits, loose fits or breakage when installing.So I ordered these. They are tougher and less likely to break when installed. Bamboo is a lot tougher and stronger than the birch often used in toothpick manufacture.When I measured the diameter of toothpicks - the ones that are sol;d in grocery stores, the ones I already had, and those supplied with these kits, I found the diameter varied considerably among all of them, from perhaps .089" to .100". I also found that they were not uniform. They are not completely round. They also varied somewhat in diameter and roundness along their length.I have a set of number drills from #1 through #60, which are very small (#1) to less than a quarter inch in diameter (#60). The index that holds them (the case), has holes that increase or decrease by about .003" as the size changes incrementally. This can be used as a gauge to measure each toothpick. A more precise way to measure them without a micrometer or dial indicator would be a gauge designed to measure number drills, which costs about $10 up. Each hole can be used as a go-no go gauge.They can be sanded a bit to thin them down if necessary.This information does not appear in any of listings for toothpicks, or in the many 3D model reviews I have searched through.

I compared to the other toothpick sellers on Amazon & really liked that this product same in multiple small packs (about 2 dozen each pack, in a resealable clear envelope) rather than one big container. Very convenient for each family member to carry an envelope in wallet/purse, plus another for car (use alongside floss at long traffic lights) and nightstand. I gently trace all gumlines per my periodontist recc and it have vastly improved gum health.

What I needed for a project, these worked out great.

I have no issue with this product other than the fact that there were only 1162 toothpicks so it was a little short.

I never gave a second thought to the simple toothpick. After all, it's just a simple sliver of wood, sharpened to a point at each end. That was before i started using these toothpicks. Wow, what a difference from what i had been using. These are made of bamboo. And apparently, from the outer bark, which they claim to be better and stronger than the softer inside. They don't splinter, soften or break like wooden picks. Very strong and flexible. One concern i had was whether they would be sharp and narrow enough to fit easily between my teeth. These have turned out to be perfect. Highly recommend.
