Pro-Ject: Leather It Platter Mat - Grey

I have noticed a lot of static on my vinyls lately. It may be because I purchased a new Pro-Ject turntable since I have not noticed the problem on my Elac Miracord turntable. Everything is grounded properly, but dust seemed to be waiting in line to jump on my LPs. I ordered this Leather platter mat, replaced the felt mat that came with the Pro-Ject turntable, and to my delight the static problem is gone. Not reduced... but gone. I was going to purchase an Acrylic platter, but with this leather mat (not to mention the RIDICULOUS high cost of the Acrylic platter) I am a satisfied customer. This product looks good, feels good, and has my recommendation.

The platter mat is very soft and help prevent scratches on you records. Improves sound quality esp the lower frequency the bass in not hard but softer feel.As for static: I use a Milty3 anti-static gun before playing the records - but after one play there is static so the mat does not prevent static build up.As for delivery: Thank you- super-fast

Very good mat, I like the fact is leather and because of that you can just get rid of the static. The mat never get stuck to the platter nor the record. The only thing is the records get a lot of suede dust that is a little bit of hard to get rid of using an anti static record brush, but the sound from the record did really improve using this leather mat.

This mat is a huge improvement over the traditional Rubber or Felt mat. Over all focus is greater and bass comes off tighter and more controlled. Good value.

In a nutshell.... go with cork or acrylic. This mat did not reduce static at all and is pretty much a glorified felt mat. It's durability is all it has going for it. There is a minor increase in clarity but for the money I recommend you look elsewhere.

I'm not sure if I really got a pro-ject leather IT mat. It was opened when I received it and is horrible quality, leaving tons of debris on my LP. I ordered the gray version and the color was more tan. Returning it.

Love the thickness, reduces static and sound is good. BUT! White dust from the leather goes everywhere and sticks to the underside of the disc. It's an absolute nightmare and means you have to constantly clean the underside of the disc which sits on the mat. I tried hoovering the leather to remove as much dust as possible. Was still bad so had to return. Not sure what the black version of this product is like.

Ich kaufte die Matte in der Hoffnung, dass die Matte nicht mehr aufgrund von Statik an der Platte hängen bleibt.Genau das tut sie und sieht zudem schick aus.Meine Matte ist gleichmäßig dick, steht nur eine einer Stelle ein wenig hoch, das hebt die Platte jedoch nicht an.Meine Matte ist zudem glatt an den Rändern.Einziges Manko ist wie bei einem Andern hier, dass eine Seite ganz schön wild aussieht. Beinahe als wäre ein Holzwurm durchgesaust. Eine Seite ist jedoch schön.Kein Geruch, Abfusseln oder Abfärben aufgefallen.Insgesamt daher vier Sterne.

Das Teil sieht edel aus. Das Leder ist im Gegensatz zu anderen Rezensionen einwandfrei. Allerdings wurde schlampig ausgeschnitten, so dass das Leder ziemlich eiert. Nicht schön und ich würde mir mehr Qualität wünschen - noch dazu, wenn es den Namen ProJect trägt. Ich bin kein Freund vom Zurücksenden - eigentlich sollte ich es tun. Keine Kaufempfehlung!

Ich suchte für meinen Hochglanz Plazttenspieler eine schöne Auflage und bestellte mir diese.Das verarbeitete Leder ist von so schlechter Qualität, dass Platten nicht eben auflagen, und es ständig zum auf und nieder des Tonarms kam. Ich hatte wohl ein besonders schlechtes Stück erwischt. 50 Prozent war rel. glatt, die andere Seite was rel stark genarbt. Auf der Rückseite das gleiche Spiel. Die eine hälfte fein gegärbtes Leder, die andere Seite 5 mm lange Lederflusen . An dieser Stelle war die Matte auch höher.Was für ein mist, für so viel Geld.Habe sie zurück geschickt - keine Kaufempfehlung
