5 ton rating is wildly optimistic
The two shackles supplied were extremely poor manufacture and quality, strongly suggest consigning them to the bin - I had separately purchased a pair of 3-ton rated shackles and they are much better made and at least twice as heavy as the ones supplied with the tow strap. I do not believe the shackles supplied would withstand a snatch-load of even one ton.The tow strap itself appears to be of reasonable quality - but I believe that 1.5 to 2 Ton should be considered the maximum load rating for it.Warrior.

Do not buy!
First time using this tow rope, only a VW Passat so not 5 tonne and it snapped, leaving the car stuck in the road. Do not buy this if you want to tow a car!

I towed empty crafter when my friend broke down and it was absolutely brilliant

Value for money
Great for emergency tow usage, can be doubled up easily to reduce length. Shackles are sturdy enough for the job.

Not 5 Ton
I should of read the reviews, this is far from suitable. It has two black stripes which indicate 2 Ton rating, given the poor quality stitching I would doubt it’s capable of that. Tinny little shackles with no rate on them. Avoid !

Rubbish do not buy
Ordered this a while back. First time using it on a ford fiesta and the rope snaps in half. Item said to to be able to tow 5 ton however it can’t even tow a 1 ton ford. Avoid at all cost. Not a happy man

Utterly pathetic
I won't request a refund if I can instead warn others from buying this useless cloth strap. Couldn't pull a free rolling Ford Fiesta. Not remotely fit for purpose. Buyer beware.

Hopefully I will never need to use it but I always keep one on hand. And thanks for the storage bag I was not even tracking that it came with one.
