So glad big pharma hasn't stolen it yet
PEA, CBD, and my own kratom extracts have kept me alive since the Opiate War on the Disabled, aka Opiate Epidemic. Prescription pain relief is miraculous in the short term, but long term, it steals your entire life. Then, there's the added joy of getting less and less, not as a reflection of your medical status, or new evidence that a lower dose is better, but because of politics!PEA is considered a medical food in most of Europe. It helps with a variety of neurological disorders. When combined with the other two, it provides the best pain relief I've found so far, without the brain fog, dependency issues, depressed respiration and addiction potential of opiates, which is very important to me. Not one of the 3 shows any clinical evidence of those side effects. Sure, some mental giants out there will claim any one of these are addictive, but then, people can also become addicted to eating Styrofoam. Probably the same ones.Honestly, I hope PEA stays on this side of the pharmacy counter, because I never want to beg the merciless for pain relief again. They tried it during the quarantine, trying to rake in money by rebranding it as a Parkinson's drug, but thankfully they failed. This stuff helps me a lot, and it won't kill thousands this year like Tylenol and motrin and the rest will.

Has really reduced my chronic pain
I had to take it for 1-2 weeks before I noticed a difference. Now it is a marked difference and I am so grateful. A relative was told about this supplement (not this particular brand) by her physical therapist and it made a big difference to her. It helps our mother with her arthritis and has reduced my arthritis as well as nerve pain from an old car accident injury.

seems to be working, take twice a day
It won't immediately make you pain free. I have been taking this for about a month. It works (for me) by helping my body recover from pain overnight. If at work I over exert myself and go to bed aching, the next morning the pain is gone. Not like a pain killer works, safe to take twice a day.

It does help some types of pain
I was born with brain and spinal malformations that went misdiagnosed until I was 30 years old. I have a Chiari malformation, a huge arachnoid cyst in the back of my head, spinal stenosis, bulging discs in neck, mid and lower spine, adult onset scoliosis, osteoporosis, reflex sympathetic nerve dystrophy( affecting my left foot and leg after surgery to stabilize my ankle with screws… look that up.. if you have any spinal issues because you are more at risk even though it’s fairly rare but so debilitating that it is sometimes termed “ suicide disease”). I have had bone in the back of my head removed to relieve pressure. I cannot have surgery for scoliosis since I have osteoporosis and my spine is too porous to support the hardware used. My scoliosis is not sideways curvature but outward curvature which gives me a “hump” on the left side of my upper back. I used a traction table at home for years to alleviate some of that pain but since I now have rds/crps sympathetic nerve damage, I am unable to use my traction since you practically hang upside down by your feet to separate the vertebrae and relieve bulging discs and help with scoliosis. I have been going to a pain clinic for many years. I was diagnosed with celiac disease last year with significant damage to my small intestines. So I don’t absorb my medications and many vitamin supplements as well especially if they are timed released. After some research I found some articles about PEA. It is not timed release. After a few weeks of taking it with my regular meds, I could tell a difference. It’s not huge for me but it’s enough to take the edge off. That’s enough to get me through a bad day. So I imagine it could be very helpful for others with a little lesser pain issues. Definitely recommend it. You’ll know in a week or 2 if it’s going to work for you. If you are struggling with pain please give it a try.

It works!
I’ve tried everything for chronic muscle pain- pills, massage, acupuncture, chiro, PT, creams, diets, etc etc etc. Day 2 of taking PEA and I’m feeling so much better! My pain isn’t gone completely, but it’s greatly reduced. I have no idea why this is working when a thousand other things haven’t, but I’m SO grateful!

It works!
I have pain in my lower back like red hot pokers and this took care of it, so I am off prescription drugs. Very happy.

A great "alternative" for pain meds!!
Because of Rx side effects, I sought out something less harmful. If taken with a good oil of some sort (olive, MCT, coconut oil), this is very effective. It does not completely eliminate pain but I'd say it's about 80-90% effective! IMO, that's sometimes better than the Rx meds.
