This plant came nice and healthy. It was much bigger than I expected. Looks amazing. I can’t wait to get a nice pot to put it in. Will buy again for sure :)

I received a plant last week in a tall box that had clearly been kicked around and mishandled. I could hear dirt and rocks rolling around and was expecting a dead plant. It turned out to be a fake plant I had ordered instead.Because of the experience I was extremely worried that this guy would meet the same fate. I was happily mistaken. The box was placed outside my door, right side up, and it was clear as soon as i opened the box it had not so much as tipped sideways during the trip. There were very clear instructions for the package handlers regarding the contents and the plant was treated with care.I have never ordered a plant online before and didn't expect it to look at all like the pictures, but again, I was happily mistaken! Not a single branch was broken on the way here, and there are tons of little buds sprouting up, ready to moved to their own pots. The leaves are beautiful, not bent, not broken, and the color is lovely!This is my first live plant since childhood, and it has had the best start possible. I hope I can keep it looking this beautiful forever.Update!Second image is from 1 week after receiving the plant. I planted it in a larger planter with mix of coco peat & perlite yesterday, and it seems to have woken up and spread out beautifully overnight.

I haven't submitted an Amazon review for years because, really, who has the time when making many purchases? But my experience with this company has been stellar. My wife left me, took the kid, the dog, my pick-up truck (OK, I'm exaggerating, a little) but when she took the house plants the place was suddenly looking pretty bleak. I took a gamble (considering the price) and ordered a hoya carnosa, my favorite, from these people. I received an exceptionally beautiful specimen that rivaled the photo provided online. About a month later I ordered a Zanzibar Gem. Same results: above and beyond expectations. But the plant I received when I ordered their Ctenanthe 'Silver Star' ( looks like a sort-of cross between a bamboo and a prayer plant, but it isn't) is absolutely astoundingly impressive. It's much bigger than the example photo, healthy, and already exuding a refined personality. (Bonus, they shipped it next day, UPS.) My guess is that these people pay attention, appreciate repeat customers, and show that appreciation with an extra effort. Thank you American Plant Exchange. I'll be back for more.

Liked the method of packing, roots appear healthy when Imtransplanted it to a larger planter. Plant seems happy! 😃

Purchased this plant hoping it would arrive in one piece. Boy was I surprised when it arrived and was so well packaged. Very healthy with no damage. It has thrived all season and just keeps performing. I would have no hesitancy in taking a chance with this dealer again. Good value too!

Product description says 20” tall actually it was only 15.5”. For $30.00 I was expecting it to be taller. It will grow not worried but not worth the cost.

$32 !!! Seriously? I bought this because I wanted a larger plant. This is a small 4" plant in a 6" pot. It also has a ridiculous shape.

It's still alive and it's thriving. Looks lovely and it's sending up new shoots! I'm pleased. This is really an interesting and beautiful plant.
