Q: Just washed our new bath sheets the first time. The shrinkage left the edges very wavy. Any suggestions on how to get flat edges again?

Great question, we can help! It is totally normal for the edges to pucker, especially in the beginning, because of the way the towels are woven and finished. With the hand towels, bath towels and bath sheets, the towels are woven with the waffle texture in the middle and with a flat side selvage (finished edge) and flat hems, which are then folded over and sewn. This gives the towels a nicer finish. The textured "waffley" area shrinks right away, and the folded over hems, which are totally flat, shrink more slowly. Over the course of several washings, the hem will catch up to some extent so the puckering will be minimized, but never completely eliminated. I think it's most noticeable on the smaller towels. It may help to pull gently on the sides of the towels near the hems right when you take them out of the dryer. Hope this is helpful! Sincerely, Gilden Tree

Q: Can I add a little chlorine bleach to the wash cycle to keep the white towels white?

Good question. You are safe to add a little bleach with your white towels, we just don't recommend doing it regularly because bleach can really harsh on the fibers.
