Works fine
Was having big troubles w code 300 Chevy and missing bad. Wasting distributor caps.. changed the distributor and here we are now 2 months later and truck runs like a champ. Tip..make sure you are too dead center cylinder 1, confirm w the # 6 mark on your old distributor.....take the old distributor that's shot and punch the pin out of the spline gear .pull the gear and use the shaft to rotate your oil pump to the proper alignment w tdc to get your new distributor to seat properly and top dead center. It works way better than a long screwdriver.

Sturdy
Like this better than the cheap plastic factory ones that warp and crack

Keep the stock retained clip
The clip that this come with wont allow you to clock the distributor in the same direction as the stock distributor. My truck ran like crap until I clocked it correctly with my stock retainer clip. Otherwise it works great.

Great replacement
Pretty good quality for the price great fitment wish it had the line on lower shaft for easier install but still not hard to install

Not set correctly and cannot adjust hold down bracket
So the old dizzy I removed had the hold down bracket that would allow the dizzy to be able to spin ,the new one I installed everything exactly like the one I pulled out and it would make my truck nonstop poof poof poof spot sputter back fire horrible I could not even drive it messed with it for 2 hours the timed everything with tdc everything was lined up right but Everytime same thing Soni said let me see what happens if I put the old one back in and sure as heck ran fine again , the new dizzy has the hold down bracket fixed on the distributor which does not allow for any time tuning, well on my 2000 c3500 SBC 5.7vortec you cannot time it with a timing light you must use a scanner to read the cam retard or you will get a 1345 code cam shaft crankshaft coralation code , so all you have to do is get it close and the computer will adjust it and you want to get within +/- 2 degrees of 0 , well I guess it's a universal dizzy because it will absolutely not work in my truck and you can back it up a tooth or advance it a tooth or it will be why out of whack and it's a bummer I messed with it so long now I can't even return it so waste your money , I won't be buying another one from that manufacturer

Poor design by GM
Better know that you are doing to get this in correct timing, gotta lay on top of engine

cheap, but seems to be just fine
Truck has been running great since I had my mechanic put it in. They lean against buying amazon parts, but told me that this distributor is "just fine". I have only went about 50 miles, but happy so far. $45 price tag compared to $240 at the local part store for the acdelco. I got this part and labor for under 225UPDATE: This hold down clamp is stationary. Use your old hold down clamp. dropped a couple stars cause this caused me extra labor costs cause mechanic couldnt get cmp degree right.

Top quality for the money
I do like the metal housing, rather than the OEM plastic housing. With attention to details as you pull the original distributor out, you can put it back in exactly the same and with maybe a little minor tweeking the timing, works perfectly.
