eTauro Compatible with Surface PRO/PRO4 Docking Station. DisplayPort, USB3, Charger, Gigabit Ethernet DUCGe4

I really like the form and function of this docking station, but it would not maintain connection with the Mini Display Port video cable to the HMDI monitor when peripherals were plugged in to the USB ports on the device. It appeared that there were some loose connections inside the docking port. Each time I plugged the SSD backup drive into one of the available USB input ports, the signal to the monitor disappeared.

This is a good product and extends the capabilities and usefulness of my SP4. All the ports works perfectly so far but my only recommendation for the future version is compatibility with the original SP4 proprietaty power adapter so I don't have to carry around another power cord supplied by the manufacturer. I would definitely recommend this product.

I have mixed feelings about this purchase.it fits and works nicely, but not without problems.I bought this as a home dock for my Surface pro 4 and I love how slick and minimal it is.Although the look and feel are nice, the functionality comes with its problems. You can't leave the dock plugged when you (re-)start or wake up the Surface!! The system will hang and you have to unplug the dock and hold the start button for 30 sec to hard restart the Surface.Now, I thought it wouldn't be a problem and I would just unplug the dock and live with it. But today after one month of using the eTauro dock, I noticed it was not loading the Surface while plugged in. After checking all the plugs, I found out it was the bottom connector of the dock what hold the power cable. It just doesn't seem to make a solid connection all the time.So It might be a problem what get worse from all the plugging/unplugging, but I will give it some more time! Like I said, I like the Dock.

This device works perfectly for me. I had to contact eTauro about the AC adaptor at the 5 month point-it fit loosely and stopped charging. eTauro was extremely easy to work with, very responsive; they tested and replaced the failed adaptor, even though they don't manufacturer that part. Definitely recommend this Surface dock, best priced and most functional of all the docking units I've looked at. The dock is unobtrusive and easy to pull off when you need to grab your surface and go. Dock allows you to keep your cover keyboard attached and not have to use an external keyboard like other docks.

This is a GREAT concept. Having the display-port, 3 USB 3.0 ports, and one power source on a single attachment is brilliant! I would like to have a fourth or fifth USB 3.0 port, remove the Ethernet port, and a heftier power supply. That would be perfect for traveling with my USB powered monitors. The difficulty with this unit is the intermittent external power supply. After a half hour or so, the Surface Pro 4 reports that it is not connected to a power source. Then the external monitors blink off and on incessantly. Occasionally wiggling the power cord will correct the problem but not permanently.

Love it, works well, no problems with function at all. The big problem is whoever designed the case didn't take into consideration the Microsoft case and keyboard combo that most business people purchase with the Pro 4. If eTauro had engineered their order to give room for the tabs that lock the Surface tablet into the case, it would be an absolute winner. The top and bottom are not cut to fit the two right corners of the MS case. Therefore, you have to remove the Microsoft case to use the docking station. TOO BAD.... great product otherwise....

works reliably, better alternative to the native dock station, not as clunky and more convenient way to attach. I use it all the time.

USB ports work well, only problem seems to be with the secondary display port, seems like I have to wiggle it some times to get it to work. Nice having the additional ports.

Cheesy quality, overpriced but still does the job wonderfully of converting the surface pro 4 into a full work station / pc. pls handle with care using this product as build quality is not very tough. Overall a good product.
