MINKA-AIRE F749L-CL Skyhawk 60 Inch LED Ceiling Fan with Carved Wood Blades, Integrated LED Light and DC Motor in Coal Finish

Purchased 60" MinkaAire fan in burnished nickel. Love how little contrast there is between the wood and nickel color. Noiseless. Light is very bright. Hangs perfectly on a slanted ceiling -- had to purchase down rod separately. No transmission box inside collar for the remote, it has an extra wire for remote transmission instead. Remote already programmed to work. Handyman (who has installed many, many fans) found this easy to install.

This modern fan moves a lot of air! It is quiet, spins smoothly, and the dimmable LED light provides a wide range of brightness levels to suite any living space. It is a little pricey compared to other options but the quality is apparent. The remote is easy to use but larger in size than necessary. At least it won't be easy to lose!

We put this in our large living room. It is aesthetically pleasing to look at and is very well made. At max fan setting, it does not wobble at all and is very quiet. Highly recommended as the quality of this product is superb!

This fan looks even better in person. It seems to be well crafted and the DC motor is virtually silent. The install went smoothly until it came to attaching the blades, which proved to be slightly challenging to get the screw though the blade and into the holes, all while on a 12 foot ladder. I followed the install instructions, but if I had to do it again, I might have attached the blades while on the ground. I did purchase the wall control (wc 1000) as it looks much cleaner than the supplied remote in my opinion. The wall control has the exact same buttons and features as the remote. The led is very bright but has a nice dimming feature. The hard-wired led light is a little on the warm side and the temp cannot be adjusted, but I think it is good for a living room and I probably wouldn't want it any cooler.

Bought two of these fans in June of 2021 and had them installed by an electrician. On the highest speed, these fans made annoying clicking sounds. They did not move air very well either at the top speed. 3 years later and the motor and light fixture went bad in the one fan causing the motor to spark. No longer than two months later, the same issue happened to the second fan. For $460 after tax this is unacceptable. The fan blades are cheap and lightweight causing the fan to wobble. See other reviews with the same issue and save your money. Find fans with a higher CFM than this piece of junk. The motor won’t last you more than 3 years. And the light that the fan gives off is terrible, it does not light up the room very well and gives off a very warm light. Much cheaper and better options out there and highly unsatisfied buying a Minka Aire product. Avoid.

This fan is beautiful but unfortunately it makes clicking noises sometimes. We will play around and see if there is a way to fix this but I have seen in other reviews this seems to be a problem.

Super Quiet ! installed aug 20. great air flow,, I don't take it off 1, low. easy connections, high quality materials, good documentation. can't say enough good about this fan. comes with a short down tube.. so need to buy a longer one if you don't have.

Install was pretty straightforward. I've installed light fixtures without a fan that were more of a pain. So far it's noticeably quieter and moving a lot more air than the previous fan. And matches the room. Very pleased.Got as a "Used - Like New" deal (was slightly hesitant, but absolutely zero regrets) and from what I can tell I basically got a new fan for like 25% off: it was all original packaging, nearly untouched, just with evidence of (a) the box flaps having been opened previously, and (b) maybe the ceiling mount bracket having been taken out once (mostly inferred from a random screw being loose in another packaging section). Everything was otherwise sealed in what seemed to be the original plastic.Slightly surprised it shipped in the original box, no additional packaging, but I think for things like this they're kind of designed to be shipped that way and it presented no issues. This is also one of the few times something has arrived substantially earlier than it's original projected delivery date.Overall very happy with this. Installation was pretty straightforward and not complicated. Fan is very quiet and moves enough air that we can see movement on houseplants well away from the fan.Probably the one thing I'd criticize is that it seems odd that that the two light buttons on the remote do the same thing since there's only one lighting unit - I think it'd make more sense for one to be a "brighten" button, and the other one a "dim" button. (Rather than both being "hold to gradually cycle through bright and dim over circa 6 seconds.") But that's not an important detail. (And it does remember brightness when turned on and off.)Chose this fan because I was looking for a more modern style black or black with light wood color blades three blade 56" - 60" ceiling fan with a DC motor and 4+ speeds, > 4000 CFM max air movement, and no need to pull chains or fiddle with on-fan controls, for a shared living area and of the reputable/reliable fans I could identify, this was the least expensive option without making compromises (like 3 speeds, +$200, etc.). Also quite happy that it doesn't have smart home (Android, Apple, etc.) features.
