Looked just like original fuel pump and performs like original. No problems. Easy installation.

My 30+ year old JD 425 was stalling out for lack of fuel. The original fuel pump was working, but not good enough. I bought a cheap universal replacement online thinking it would work properly. Everything about the installation was a pain. Worse yet, the pressure on the cheap replacement was too high. Long story short, I wasted my money.This replacement was a perfect fit and an easy install. The pressure is correct and the electrical hookups were an exact match. Go with this fuel pump for your JD 425. You won’t regret it.

Perfect fit and low pressure for a john deere 425.Some selling high pressure pumps on amazon which will flood your carburetor and engine.Can easily cause major damage.

Virtually identical to the OEM pump bought at John Dealer a few years ago, and perhaps half to 2/3 the cost. Installed a few months ago, all going well.

John Deere 425I removed existing fuel pump. The new one was plug and play. I did a no bolt assembly, and turned the power on and pump primed itself and filled the clear fuel filter. I then finished the final assembly of the mower. Fired right up. Now the next test is longevity of the product. Thumbs up so far.

Received pump installed it pump ran but did not pump fuel, notified seller sent me another pump next day.Installed it the same thing ran but did not pump fuel. You cannot wire wrong because the pump has a big terminal and a small terminal. I switched the terminals and the pump worked fine. So, I had to install new terminals to change wires to pump. works fine. I guess the wires internal were switched.

If you have an older John Deere that DOES NOT have a fuel pressure shut off switch. Not a fuel shut off solenoid that's a different part. But DOES NOT have a fuel pressure shut off switch this is the pump you need. This pump is low pressure continuous run with the correct polarity for use on JD 425's that don't use a fuel pressure shut off. JOHN DEERE does not have a pump that will work you will get a superceded updated part that puts out over 25psi and is reversed polarity if you fix the polarity issue you will have a pump that will flood the carb, blow fuel lines off and pop fuel filters.
