If you have a clock that ticks in the room, you could still hear it it just cancels the noise a little. Ive slept in these and its good to help you get to sleep. If your on a cross country train, with screaming kids or ungodly adults, and your reading a book, this comes in very handy because it helps to cancel the noise and actually helps align your focus. If your blessed to be in total silence, once you put these in, its almost like time stops and you should be centred by these. I mean like, you can think clearly, concentrate, and gather yourself together.If you sleep with someone thats snores no matter having these in they will not work and your girlfriend will still continue to wake the Gods. They are not effective in that respect, (unless you measure your particular beverage that night beforehand) then your sleep should be ace.Sometimes they can come out during your sleep.Ive used them for exams. Great great great to have.

I’m a very light sleeper who works early mornings and lives with very noisy flatmates. Firstly you get 2 pairs, one smaller and one larger which is strange as the larger pair go unused as they’re too big. The shape of them means the bit at the top pops out of my ear throughout the night and they really aren’t that comfortable. They are fiddly to get in and they fall out often and even the smaller size is too big.The cancellation however is fine. Nothing spectacular.Overall I’d save my money and look elsewhere

I've only been using these for a few days but so far I'm pleased with the ear plugs. I have quite small ear canals and the smaller size fits fine. I like the fact that they don't go fully in to your ears and the little tail helps them stay in place. Although they don't filter out all sound they do help to reduce noise such as nearby construction work, traffic and noisy neighbors' to a level that makes it muffled background. I can however still hear necessary sounds such as alarms and people talking to me.on the down side you can hear yourself breathing quite loudly and any vibration is amplified such as when typing or chopping etc. they also make your own voice sound really loud and strange so I don't think I would be able to wear them in a situation where I was having to talk frequently.

When I first tried these at home I wasn't impressed and could still hear the tv and people talking, I was going to send them back. I packaged them up and put them in my work bag so I could send them back on the way home from work. While at work I decided to give them a try and glad I did I was pleasantly surprised! It blocks out the harsh noises of a warehouse full of machines but I'm still able to hear enough to know what's going on with my machine and can still talk to people. I wipe them with antibacterial wipes first, then insert them so I don't get ear infections, I prefer the smaller set and I put them back in the box after every shift.

Would be useful for a light sleeper to block out traffic noise (if your windows are also closed). If you want to block out all noise pollution get some wireless noise cancelling ear phones and listen to white noise through them. Nothing will keep you from sleeping then!

These cancel out background noise which is great for me when anywhere with loud music. Great value.

I have tried lots of different ear plugs as my wife snores and my mother in law who lives with us rattles around the kitchen at night, I am also a light sleeper so good earplugs are essential for to be able to sleep.Nothing has close to the performance of Flare Isolate earplugs.If you need a quit night buy Flare Isolate plugs.

These are amazing. All the other types of ear plugs I've tried for sleeping have been uncomfortable, irritating, or just simply too big so that they've fallen out in the night and got lost. These come in a pack with two pairs; one small size and one large. I'm using the small and they are the most comfortable ear plugs I've ever tried. The way they fit is quite flexible because they don't push down into the ear canal; they just sit against it and then the tail part holds them there against your ear. Usually ear plugs and ear phones are too big for me and fall out, but the small ones of these stay put really well, and I think I could probably also use the large size if I needed to, because the way they're designed makes the fit more flexible. I can hardly feel them, even sleeping on my side. They block out noise really well, but I can still hear my alarm. They're easily to clean, dry quickly. Wonderful product!!!
