Tough Sh*t: A Dark High School Bully Romance (Rejects Paradise, Book 1)

For past few weeks, I couldn’t find a book I was able to finish. Nothing was good enough for me. My favourite authors like Tijan, J Bree, C. Peckham and S.Valenti etc. didn’t do it for me. No ARCs were good enough to get me through the books... through the books that in other times could be the ones I would have enjoyed... so many cancelled ARCs, so many started and not finished books... nothing made me crave the story and stay-up late at night... until this book...I had lost my hopes, I thought that I should stop reading for a while to get my sight straight... until Jade and Colton... until their story.Let’s start with the bully theme. It is so popular now that I got bored, actually..I thought that there is no story I haven’t read already... I got tired of RH bully books, I got tired of usual bully books... I got tired of everything, but the story this book contains got me on the living side again. 🎉I have an opinion that a good bully book has not only the bullying part, but also a very strong FMC, which Jade (or Oceania) is. She is so strong and willing to survive everything that the life and her bullies throw at her. She always bounces back. She together with Lips from the Just Drop Out are my all-time-favourite FMCs, because if the heroine is strong then the love towards the bully is justified and understandable.The story is interesting, it’s nothing unique, but the plots and twists are good for real.The book is worth every $!!

I’m still hungover from finishing this book. Wow, okay. This, by far, is Sheridan Anne’s best book. Hands down. No BS. Hook, line, sinker comes to mind. I was into this story from page one. There were so many twists and turns (and a mystery!) all jumbled in this amazing book. I can not say enough good things. Seriously. The way each page draws you in more and more. Unbelievably written.So the story starts off with Oceania. Her mom and herself have to pack up and move. They’ve lost everything. Ocean is leaving behind her dearly beloved crew (4 guys who will do anything for her.) Part of the reason they’re leaving, besides losing their house, car etc is Oceans mom fears she will fall into the wrong crowd permanently. Her crew is apart of a gang called the black widows. And Ocean used to date Nic the guy who will be taking over as the front man of it.They move into a billionaires mansion because Oceans mom is their live in maid. When you read this you’ll think of oil and water and how they don’t mix. Very similar to how Ocean fits in there, she doesn’t. Charles Carlington sets her up at school tells her his house is hers and basically tries to treat her like family. She starts at a new school. This obviously doesn’t go well. She is seriously bullied, picked on, and tormented by the rich kids because they can’t handle a beautiful dark haired, blue eyed, girl from the other side of town. She’s trash. Torment and revenge happens. And boy she gets some great jabs in. It is a constant back and forth battle of the sexes. But don’t count out Ocean. This girl kicks butt, takes names, and doesn’t let too many walk all over her and never intentionally. Her guard is up. She has a best friend Milo who is amazing and just makes you happy from the get go. The ending is absolutely mind blowing and sets you up for not only a serious book hangover, but the want and need for book two.

This book is everything I have come to love about dark bully romance! It is edgy, a page turner, and unexpectedly twisted in all of the best ways! This is probably Sheridan's best book she has written. The flow is tight, there are no slow scenes, and every word carries weight!I was pulled into Ocean's life from the first sentence, and left begging for more at the last! Ocean has lived a hard life in a no where town where few people get out. Her group consists of four guys who have her back through everything. They run Breakers Flats, and Nic's dad is the local gang leader. Living in a world barely making ends meet will so be a thing of the past as Ocean's mom finds a new job as a house keeper a couple of towns over.Ocean finds herself dropped right into the billionaire town of Bellevue Springs. She now has to figure out how to navigate the land of the rich, and stay away from the boss's hot as sin son, Colton. Not only does she have to deal with him, but she is dropped into an all male school as the only female. To say Ocean has her share of issues is an understatement. She is written as a tough female who not only takes what is thrown at her, but perseveres in spite of it. This may be her only chance to better herself, and she is going to take it.Through this whole story Ocean finds herself pulled between her two worlds. The old, and the new. The comfortable, and the unknown. Where will she land, and will she be able to stay true to herself through everything that happens????????????? I can't wait to find out!

I think every author has one heroine who they write about that is their best. Ocean is definitely Sheridan's best female! Shes strong, confident, and has a huge heart. I simply loved her attitude and how she stands up for herself. This is a bully romance and boy the bullying she endores and is able to hold her own is amazing. The male characters in this book you... wont be able to pick who's your favorite. They all have something about them. But Colton and his cocky self is mine. Hes a complete jerk but has a hidden dark past. The cliffhanger to this book will leave you with so many questions. I have so many and I cant wait for the next book to get some answers. Sheridan wrote one hell of an amazing story! Can't wait for more!

F****** Brilliant!!!! Sheridan your writing blows me away. I don't recall a book that had me bitting my bottom lip during an interment scene. Tough Sh*t is a dark story, take that as a warning. But, hot damn, if you aren't put off by dark bullyed romance then Tough Sh*t is a book you need to read. Loves every second of Oceania. I need book two ASAP!!!

No freaking cliffhanger! At least book 2 comes out soon! This is my first time reading this author and I'm impressed! Just what I need though....another author that I'll be following!! If you like bully romances this book is a must!!

WOW WOW WOW!This is one of the best books I've read in a while which is gripping from page 1. This book has everything and more in, the emotions, love, laughter, banter and real life dramas!! I have no words and i need book 2 IMMEDIATELY, the angust and attraction is gripping. From the very beginning i was hooked on the characters and thinking whats next. I haven't been this emotionally involved in a book for a while, this will have you WANTING more and MAY ruin your expectations of your future man!! I need these characters in my life!!The MC is sassy and badass and thats just a starting point, let alone the male characters!I need more on where book 2 will go, your guess is as good as mine!!Tough Sh*t has stayed on my mind since finishing the ARC copy and this book makes you keep thinking about the characters and what happens next.Sheridan is one of fav authors and this book does not disappoint. Bring on book 2 for the answers we all need!!

Wow 🤩 epic read Sheridan has done it again ......this is going to be an amazing series 😍 you are hooked from the first page , it captivates you , it’s gritty , awesome , antsy and just keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what’s coming next 😲 Ocean is a tough kick butt kinda girl , who takes no crap from no one ......... having to move from what she knows , people she loves to a place that has spoilt , privileged , rude and arrogant morons that test her at her every turn ......will she survive the sexually deviant, rude , small minded idiots of the rich at Bellevue Springs ......the cliff hanger at the end has me chewing me nails wanting more more more .......I suggest you read this awesomeness and see for yourself it will leave you wanting more ........love love love 💓 this book 📖

Loved it .loved ocean 😊 i read this in ine sitting and jumped straight into book 2 , plenty going in to keep you gripped , I love Nick and the boys , Colton is growing on me to ..but the main star is ocean , badass and takes no shit ! My fave I have to say is Sebastian.. I want more of him ..had me lol

Loved this book , it gripped me from the start and I couldn’t put it down , at first I really wanted Ocean to forgive Nic and now I’m willing for her to get with Colton and for her to have the happily ever after she deserves can’t wait for book 2 !! Luckily don’t have long to wait as it ended on me needing to read more !! Would defo recommend. X

enjoyed it, has some triggering elements towards the end. however it was fine reading it. will buy the next book now :)
