Works with Alexa if you use Smartlife App
These bulbs are great. However, the Gosund app did not properly set the bulbs up for use with my Alexa. I was not able to get Alexa to recognize the device. I then downloaded the Smartlife app and when I set the bulb up using that app, Alexa then, recognized the device. So far, happy with the performance of these bulbs. Do not try the Gosund app as this caused me a bit of frustration.

Love it, but....
The bulbs work great. We love being able to control it with the Alexa and select any color we want. However, there is one small flaw...I can hear the bulb making a faint humming type sound when the light is off. Weird, I know...but if you're like me and sleep in complete darkness without sounds, you will likely hear it too. The sound drove me nuts for weeks before I figured out what it was. I've since acclimated to it but figured this review may help someone else, especially if you're someone sensitive to noise.

A Literal Fire Hazard
One of the four bulbs was defective, in a very dangerous way. I noticed the bulb (installed in a sconce) was turning off every 5 minutes or so. I finally took the sconce apart to investigate and immediately could smell burning plastic. I went to remove the bulb from the housing (LED bulbs should not be much more than warm to the touch) and was burned by how hot the bulb was. After letting it cool, I took it out and inspected it. Nothing unusual on the exterior, but it was clearly overheating and burning inside, continuously turning off and on presumably due to the overheating. Incredibly dangerous, and a potential fire hazard.

Switching 5GHz to 2.4GHz Manually
Listen, I had to figure this nonsense out on my own and it took me roughly an hour to install some light bulbs. You can literally make a few dad jokes out of this struggle. Anyways, for my Xfinity users, here's how I did it.Most of us can no longer switch which bands we use, as it has been "automated" for "ease of access". If you're having issues, you have to login to http://10.0.0.1/ and use your admin info. If you've never set that up, the default username is admin, and the password is password.Once you get there, you go to Gateway, then Connection, then WiFi. Once there, if you can't rename your 2.4GHz or 5GHz connection, you simply disable your 5Ghz connection. Your WiFi will default to 2.4GHz automatically. You should be able to set the bulbs up now. Once you set them up, go back to http://10.0.0.1/ and enable your 5GHz connection.

2021 App Tips!
If you’re pairing with Alexa, don’t set these up with the recommended GoSund app. As of very recently it doesn’t appear that the Alexa skill “GoSund” works.Instead, download the “Feit” or “Smart Life” app from the App Store, and enable the Feit or Smart Life skill in the Alexa app. For the Smart Life app, make sure the one you download says Smart Life with a space — NOT “SmartLife”. I’m not sure what kind of trickiness people are getting up to, but the one without a space (SmartLife) won’t get you anything except possibly a guaranteed gateway between your phone, home and network with whomever made that other app.The GoSund, Feit and Smart Life apps are VERY similar, by the way.If you already set up one or more lights in GoSund, you can reset them by turning them on and off 3 or 4 times in a row. You’ll know the light reset when the light blinks white when it’s on.Other than that issue, the lights are ok. The light responds quickly, the color saturations are very good, there’s no buzzing sound or other issues. I really wish there were other default options for light colors, especially for standard white options. I believe white options are called “tunable white”. As it stands, you have basically a very bright white option, not warm. That or just a slider for a trillion colors. A standard “warm white” setting, or various K temperature choices would be very useful.Has my review been of help to you? If so, would you consider hitting the "helpful" button below? I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

Very disappointed....
After spending approximately 30 min trying to set up, I threw in the towel. The first thing that rubbed me wrong was my phone exploding with all the access these bulbs wanted. Having multiple smart devices already in my home, I’m accustomed to the process of connecting and allowing access. This was over the top and I have no idea why. I will be sending back... I should have stuck with a provider who’s ecosystem I already use, but was trying to save a few bucks.... lesson learned.

Very versatile! Good price!
Great deal for 4 programmable LED bulbs easily controlled by the app on your cellphone. Hooked up very fast with no issues. Nice clean interface. I plan to but an Echo just to control these lights, but you really don't need to.I put two of them in my living room and can either control both together or separately. You can program moods, have it change color and flash to music, they're really versatile. I have them set to a dim warm yellow hue at night to prevent blue light glare.I'm going to test them out in my outdoor laundry room to have them work with my Wyze camera to come on automatically and shut off 20 minutes later once I get the Echo.

These are great LED lights at a good price.
I put two in the master bedroom and one each in the kid’s room. Setup was pretty easy. Download and install the app. Let it find the lights. Test some of the functions.I also wanted to use them with Alexa. Each bedroom has an Echo Dot.Once the Alexa app finds the light bulb(s) you assign them to a room and a Dot. That way you can just say “Alexa turn in the lights” and due to proximity of the closest dot it know which one it should turn on.
