Compact, Capable, Complicated
Let's start out with how small this camera is. Go get three pennies and stack them in your hand. That's how much this camera weighs with a micro SD card in it. For a camera, that kind of size usually means poor battery life and poor image quality. While I can't say this camera doesn't suffer a little from those flaws, I can say that it punches way above its weight class.Pros: 720P and 1080P video, Night Vision, TINY size.Cons: Short battery life, complex mechanics, poor still images. If this camera was just a 1080P video camera with a night vision mode, it would be an amazing product. The problem is, it tries to be too many things, and suffers for it. The motion detection feature doesn't seem to function at all, and the finger gymnastics you'll have to do over the camera's two buttons to activate the various modes are not very intuitive or user friendly. It is, however, very simple to take 1080P videos that are surprisingly crisp. POV shots a la GoPro are easy enough with the included clip, and you can use it as a handy dash cam/nanny cam with a USB cable to support the battery. All in all, this is a very capable little product at a very reasonable price. If you can navigate the controls, it has a lot to offer. A re-designed manual (6 pt font is hard to read), and simpler scope of options would make this an easy 4.5 out of 5.

Good For What It Is
Overall if you need a "spy" camera to record occasional activity and you need a discreet camera in area that is difficult to wire or connect to the internet, then this will get the job done. However, due to its simplicity (both good and bad) it is difficult to know what mode you are in, or what is going on with the camera.Pros:- First off, I am not a giant. It only looks like I have giant hands because this thing is tiny. This makes it easy to put anywhere and hide it if need be- The infrared night vision makes seeing in near total darkness possible (but there is a complaint here as well)- Comes with a handy clip that makes it easy to mount, which conveniently also clips right onto the wall mount. This means that you can use it on the wall mount, then take it down easily to charge or pull out the SD card- Very wide angle of view makes capturing any action easy- Very good value for the moneyCons:- Despite its size, I'm not sure why they would add that strange rainbow stripe on it when it's supposed to be a "spy" camera.- While the night vision works great, the trouble is that it doesn't automatically activate. This means that you would need to manually change the camera into "night-vision mode" once it gets dark out.- Picture quality in 1080 was not great. For comparison, my Ring doorbell definitely outputs higher quality video (but costs 10 times more, so keep that in mind)- The motion detector seemed to be too sensitive. It kept on recording random trees blowing in the wind.- Only accepts 32 GB or smaller micro SD cards. This limits the amount of recording you can do.- Also, the SD card slot is not spring loaded, so it's a bit difficult to tell if the card is in all the way or not since there's no "click"- The biggest issue for me is the difficulty programming the different modes. There is only one light on the unit, so when the instructions say the blue and red lights will flash simultaneously, they actually mean that a purple light will flash. Conclusion:While the picture quality and recording features seem a little limited, if I needed to set this up somewhere discreet, or in a place without access to internet or power, this would definitely work in a pinch. Its small size and convenient mounting options will make it easy to conceal. I would only recommend using the motion capture indoors however since there will likely be less "false motion" to set the camera off accidentally. The main issue is programming the camera and being very unsure about whether or not it is recording. Upon opening the video files, I found many videos of myself looking at the camera trying to get it to work. BUT for the price, if you need a "spy" camera this would definitely fit the bill.

"motion detection" doesn't work
So after rereading the broken English instructions numerous times and trying everything possible for 2 days straight, I've come to the conclusion that "motion detection mode" just isn't a thing. When put into motion detection mode, it will record as soon as you put it in that mode, for anywhere from 11 seconds to 30 seconds, then turn off, and no matter how long you wait or how much you move, it does not record anymore. The whole reason I ordered this camera was for that alone, and it doesn't work. This camera is junk. Tried it in 720p and 1080p mode, and the 1080 looks more like 480. Also, in 1080 mode, no matter the length of video you managed to get it to take, after about 5 seconds the playback freezes. Sound still works, but video doesn't.
