What a lovely book written by a mother whose little boy suffers from allergies. This wonderful book will help children understand that not everyone is the same but different in many ways . in Luca's case its a food allergy.beautifully illustrated with a story everyone can related to and help children to not feel different because of an allergy or disability . lets hope this author continues to do well , i'm sure there will more tales From Tersha Cutmore and her son Luca.

A caring thoughtful book beautifully illustrated that will resonate with children (and adults!)
Both of my boys have severe eczema, asthma and allergies so they have always missed out on foods, parties and public food places. At the time there was certainly a feeling of lonliness and isolation. It's so lovely to have a book written so beautifully in a way that a child can understand, one that makes them feel included and one that makes them realise that others have similar problems. For Luca the Lion, he was being consumed by his problem for a while and was missing out on the good things around him - with encouragement from his friends he learnt that it wasn't so bad - after all there were lots of things he COULD do... like playing. It's for adults too! We could all take a leaf out of this book, take our attention away from the things we don't have and give thanks for the blessings we DO have in our lives. Thank you for a wonderful book. The illustrations are beautiful and it's written with caring rhyming words that I'm sure will resonate with children (and adults) for years to come. I salute the author Tersha for taking a very difficult situation and using it to reach out to others. Highly recommended. x

This is an uplifting book for children who have food allergies.
And a great way to help others understand what it is like to live with them.Tercha’s book is beautifully written and the illustrations by Victoria Ward-Fowler are gorgeous. It takes us through the feelings of children who have to watch others eating whatever they like, while they have to have something different. The story, in rhyme, manages to help children not feel so alone with their allergy; while at the same time explaining to those who don’t have any to understand and empathise. We are encouraged to focus on the things we can do, eat etc and not dwell on the things we can’t.

Great book
Fantastic children's book that explains allergies on a child's level. I read it to my class and they really enjoyed it. It really helped them to understand what allergies are and who some of their peers can't eat or drink certain things. Beautifully illustrated too. Highly recommended and very speedy delivery.

Lovely story about allergies for kids
Saw this book online and got ourselves a copy. Lovely story about Luca and his family and friends and a variety of allergies which they have. Good to read to your child and for them to read with you. We lent our copy to school to explain things too.
