Large and sturdy compost bins
These are pretty nice compost bins that are easy to assemble and hold a lot of material. The sides all snap together smoothly. The lid is pushed down into four holding points on the top of the back panel, and the small compost door on the front just slides right down into place. If you have trouble getting the lid fastened, place the outer two pins in their slots, then center the middle two pins and push down hard and they should snap in. The individual plastic pieces may not seem that sturdy while you're removing them from the box and assembling them, but the finished product seems very stable. The lid functions well and snaps down in place on the front edge so you don't have to worry about it flying off during a wind storm. There are holes near the bottom where you could stake this into the ground if you wanted to, but I'm not sure it's necessary if you fill it up at least halfway. I'd also recommend purchasing a compost aeration tool (search Mr. Compost Tool on Amazon) as a handy accessory for a vertical compost bin like this. It makes turning the compost in there an easy chore. It's a simple design (and a little pricey), but works excellent.

Easy, works.
Easy to assemble. It's composting the leaves from my yard now. It has an opening at the bottom for extracting the compost. You can keep adding more fresh material (and/or water) to the top. One issue - the top on mine is skewed and doesn't close squarely onto the rest of it.

The easiest way to compost food waste, cheap looking but also unobtrusive
I used a spinning composter for a while and IMO this basic design (just a plastic box that is open on the bottom) is far better for most folks. The spinners take over an hour of (frustrating) time to assemble. You can put this together in 5 minutes without looking at the instructions. With the spinners, I found it almost impossible to keep the compost dry enough and you really have to search out sources of brown (leaves, cardboard, etc.). With this one? Man, I just dump food scraps in there and forget about it. It's good to add browns, but if you don't, it's still OK to be honest. Looks-wise you can just kinda hide it ninja style in the back of your yard and it's just (literally) a black box so pretty unobtrusive. It is for sure flimsy but as far as I can tell doesn't really harm the functionality. The lid sorta clicks shut but I think the odds are about 99% that eventually the plastic tabs break and then I'll just put a brick or something on top, so not a big deal but if you really want something more durable and better looking just make your own compost box out of wood probably.

Dog poop compost!
I adopted a lab puppy and holy poop piles! I wanted something I could put all those globs in and compost them into dirt. This did the trick! Super easy to put together, has all the holes needed for air, very large capacity! Itโs very stable. No screws! For the price itโs great! I got some sawdust and compost starter from tractor supply! Does the trick in the hot southern sun!

No bottom or inside trays
This product is very lightweight. I was able to put it together without tools, but it required some muscle and it easily comes apart. My package did not include any kind of bottom nor anything that would create trays or layers inside. So, anything seems to knock it over: wind, animals, people. When it is knocked over, whatever I put inside is then lying on the ground uncovered. So, I am questioning if this plastic box is necessary. I might as well have made a compost pile as I had done in a larger, more wooded property I once lived on. If I got a kit with pieces to make a bottom or inside trays missing, I wish someone would send me what was missing.

Nice
We have 3 now for our compost. They work great. Not sturdy if need to move them.

I like it but not the strongest plastic.
This is the first time I have had a compost bin. My others were just compost areas on the ground. I sold some land and had to downsize so bought this. It is a breeze to put together. I took hints from the other reviews and used a rubber mallet to get the top attached. I also cut some screen to fit the bottom and attached it to the composter with zip ties so that it is weighted down now that it has compost in it. Some people complained because it didnโt come with stakes to attach it to the ground but here in the Pacific Northwest the wind would have made that ineffective. I am pretty sure it wonโt go anywhere during a wind storm with the bottom screen and the weight of the compost holding it down but I wouldnโt put money on it. Time will tell. As to stirring the compost: I can see where if I were heavy handed and careless about hitting the sides when I was turning the contents it could come apart eventually. It is a good size for me but I am a household of 1 and have chickens so I donโt need a huge one. For 69 dollars it was a decent value. I think. People complained about the lid and yes it is a bit wonky but if I slow down and use my head it works ok and if the plastic tabs break I will use a brick to weight it down. Come winter I will do that anyway so the wind doesnโt have a chance to blow it open.

Awesome! Snaps together in 5 minutes!
I wanted an inexpensive top-loading composter and I couldn't understand why reviews for other plastic composters talked about screws and bolts and missing pieces and hours to assemble because, guys, basically these are just plastic boxes? This one is made the way I'd always expected. Think "Little Tykes" dollhouses or similar? There are tabs that snap into slots. Press down and it's connected. The bottom door slides up and off instead of needing to swing so no difficulty there. I did need a hammer to snap the top swinging lid into place because I don't have a lot of upper body strength, but it took just one tap on each piece of hinge. Please note that the "louvered" look sides aren't actually louvered but there seems to be sufficient aeration holes for composting. And now I've got something useful to dump my leaves and grass!

Well designed compost bin
This is a well designed product. It snaps together - no need for hardware at all. The panels may seem lightweight, but once joined they are plenty sturdy. The only difficulty I had was attaching the top: it required some force, but that only added 10 minutes. Although a large size, I could carry it out to the garden myself. Very happy with my purchase.
