Celebrating differences in an educational manner
Nice book for my child. We have read through this book a few times and I think it is a good read. It’s simple enough for kids to digest & I am hoping to buy some more from the collection soon.

Highly recommended for children with speech delays.
As a parent of a child with a severe speech impairment, I highly recommend this book. The language level used is wonderfully appropriate for my 5-year-old. It is short and to the point. He was able to follow the story. This might seem trivial but when you are writing books for children who may struggle to process the language used, it is essential.I also love that it normalises speech delays in children. You are not alone is a key message in the story and vibrant illustrations. There are lots of children like you who find that learning to talk isn’t easy.Another wonderful feature of the book is that it reflects experiences that specifically relate to children like my son, who attend speech therapy, have additional support from their teachers and one to one assistance from teaching assistants. What more can I say? This book is superb. I’m so glad we found it, although it should come with an emotional warning label for parents! If you have a child with Speech and Language difficulties, I whole-heartedly recommend this book.

Absolutely Brilliant Book
This book is very well written and has been extremely beneficial when explaining to my son about why he’s not like ‘everyone’ else. This book has made my son feel really special. I think it’s also helped with his mental health because he was struggling to understand why he was different, it’s enabled us to talk about it. The author has done a brilliant job with these series of books. Well done and thank you. Keep up the good work!

loved
My child has a Speech Delay he's 4 and goes to Pre-k he's let me know that his "friends' don't understand him and pick on him because he doesn't express him self to their level.. he loved reading this book with me and i hope that eventually he will understand with this book that he is special. I loved this book so much is everything that my child deals with not knowing how to express his feelings to speech therapy and it would be perfect for me to donate it to his class room. Thank you for such and amazing book!!

Great for the classroom!
I absolutely fell in love with this series of books and bought several to start my collection in my classroom. I love being able to read about these with my students to teach them about inclusion and that no matter what a child may have, they are similar to him/her in terms of wanting friendships, going to school, having days out, and spending time with families. I love how these books can really relate to my students. As we were reading through the pages I was able to point out specific tools that we use in our classroom every day such as visual schedules, headphones, and calm down area. As I was reading, I was also able to see them making connections in the moment. When we read about noises getting loud accompanying the illustration of a circle time meeting I heard my students say “Paige wears ear defenders”. Reading on a couple pages later about visuals for schedule or feelings I heard my students say “Ryan uses visual pictures at work time”. The positive language used throughout the book naturally turned their “disability” into “abilities” reframing them in a positive light while weaving acceptance and kindness throughout each page. Another thing I really loved about this book is that it represents both sexes, male and female, in the story which unfortunately is not always the case due to common misconceptions. This series is definitely one I see myself continuing to grow with my collection including one that can be read at Christmas time and how all these special abilities helped to save Christmas.
