Great sticks
Before buying these wood chew sticks, I did my homework, like I read most 5-star and 1-star reviews. The only issue that most people talked about is splintering, which I found understandable. Agree with someone who said, don't buy if you hope this chew stick lasts forever. Sure thing, it will not. It is made of NATURAL wood, and our beasts are born to destroy EVERYTHING. However, other plastic toys that I bought did not splinter, but I am highly concerned about the tiny plastic fiber he swallows from time to time. Someone said the plastic might cause cancer, which I think it's possible. Also, some toys are too hard that I'm afraid they may break my dog's teeth. So I decided to try Woofwood, follow someone's advice, give my dog 15min session of chewing twice a day, and keep him under my watch. My dog LOVES it A LOT. It splinters, but just small pieces; I don't mind cleaning, and the rest held up pretty well. On top of it, I think it's super healthy and safer for my dog. Happy with my choice!

PERFECT FOR YOUR DOG - It's organic and natural
My 3 year old Beagle immediately loves this chew. It can keep her occupied for ages. She simply LOVES it and carries it all around the house. It is always the go-to chew toy for her. I cannot claim that Woofwood chews will not splinter. Having said that, it's chewable and just leaves tiny and soft wood chips that are easy to be swept up. It's not a big deal for me because having a dog means having some mess for sure. She has chewed up so many things in our house so I would rather have a little mess than my household furniture and appliances chewed.Compared to other chew toys I bought for her, this one is very suitable and safe for my dog because she is allergic to plastic toys. I always have to search for organic and natural chews for her in the market. I am glad with this purchase and highly recommend it.

4.5 stars - a dog pleaser, but I'd size up for tough chewers
In our never-ending search for chew toys that my two 10-month-old Alaskan Klee Kai pups won't destroy immediately, we came across these WoofWood chews & decided they were inexpensive enough to add to our cart. We joke that our pups are the branch manager and assistant branch manager for their proclivity to pick up and fight over sticks outside; this seemed like a safer, cleaner, & more durable alternative to one of their favourite things to gnaw.On the plus side, you can feel how fine and dense the woodgrain in these sticks is by how smooth they are, so you know they won't have giant splinters to perforate digestive systems. They are lightweight, clean, have no real odour, & our pups took to them just like we knew they would. However, after less than a month, we are now down to one nub out of two size small WoofWood chews. The other stick broke very quickly due to a pre-existing crack down the middle, and we finally had to take away the now narrower half-pieces when they became so short that we were literally gagging watching our girls happily shove them so far in their mouths we were worrying they would gulp them down like a sword-swallower and choke. The second stick hasn't broken, so it's less of a choking hazard, but you can see from the photos that it is well-worn. Be advised that chewing does create a small amount of sawdust mess that is easily cleaned up.Next time, I think I'd size up to a medium, even though our pups are only ~12 lbs, as they are extra vigorous chewers: I feel like the larger stick would last longer and make me worry a little less about them getting swallowed, even though the girls only chew them under supervision. These are a hair too pricey to give them new chews all the time but they will definitely be semi-regular purchases for us because they make our girls so happy & seem to be pretty good for their teething habits.

Wood splintered and sharp
On my dogs first attempt with this wood bone, it splintered into a super sharp stick. Even though the description says this is safe, it was so sharp I elected to take away from my pet and threw the brand new item away immediately.

Dog threw up
My medium sized 6 month poodle mix chewed and stripped these in 30 min . Apparently she ate some strips and had to throw them up , it was sortve soft but there were some hard pieces of the wood around. Not sure I'd let them play with these again but I guess it's better than plastic, I just hope it doesn't create a blockage in other dogs. I'm still against plastic toys . Maybe it works for other dogs to play with.

Delightful hours of doggy fun
My dogs enjoy these wood like teethers. It keeps them from chewing on furniture, cabinets and baseboards. Definately need lots of these around in the first and second years of your dogs life.

Splintered in 3 chomps
Let's start with the good: my dogs took to these right away. Now the not good: my 30lb girl split the stick in 3 chomps. Then did it again with her brother's.Overall: I think a larger size could solve the problem for my girl. If she can't get her mouth around it as easily maybe she won't be able to break it.It's perfect, however, for gentle chewers. My husky is very soft mouthed and hardly put a dent in it for the short time he had it before his sister went full shark mode.

Saved my dogs teeth
I have a chihuahua with a jaw of steel. I have tried countless dental chew toys that last no more than 7 minutes. 7 minutes may even be too long of an estimate. We brush our babies teeth, but always feel like he needs a little extra as chihuahua and other small breeds are prone to dental issues. This coffee root stick has been a blessing for my dogs teeth and mental health. It has cleaned so much of the plaque off of the back molars. It durable enough that my dog is finally able to just chew and “meditate”. One stick (small) lasts about 2 weeks. The grains of the stick are fibrous. On my third purchase and still no splinters! I have also noticed that his poops are better! Can’t recommend this enough!
