Jamo S 803 Black (Renewed)

THRILLED with the speakers. I'm relatively new to the speaker game, but the quality for the $ spent I couldn't be happier. I got them refurbished and they arrived in excellent condition. Note that placement is *crucial* I tried my 803s on either side of the TV at first and the sound was subpar, but when I moved one to the other side of the room the sound quality improved drastically. Being close to the wall didn't seem to be an issue. The speakers also sound great for music, and the volume held up great when I hosted a house party. Love how they look, too. Highly recommend.

I was looking for a speaker to add to my entertainment center. After reading some reviews, I saw these refurbished pair for a great price. They look brand new, & the sound was exactly what I was look for. They project a big & clear sound, with decent bass for their size. Highly recommended.

... but midrange is fine. The treble is tweaked up a little to much for me, but turned it down just a bit with the control on my receiver, bass is fine unless you want deep, deep lows you'll need a sub woofer.Overall happy with these, would recommend.

Many reviews have been done on the Jamo's. I have the black 803s. Yes they are the clean sounding flat response speakers that I hoped for. I did not find the highs to be over accentuated on a desktop in my office. Bass is great, the reflex port does chuff if you push bass, noticed mostly only at close range. Walking around a 12x12 room the with bookshelves, PCs, monitors and other furnishings I find they fill the room with great sound. Spread out the mid-range gets better than close together. Placement is important but near the wall they are great. I did have a few hard to see dings on the cabinets, (I picked renewed units in original packing). Grills and finish is nice to fit in any decor.

Outstanding speakers!

Great quality for the price. I paid $125 and returned my Sony super tweeter 3-ways. (Still have Sony Dolby dts channels on top shown in pic). The jamos are much better than the Sony’s I had (I liked the idea of a 3-way but the super tweeter just hurt my ears). These are still a little bright. But mostly flat and natural. I also had klipsch 40ms. Great for money and size. But turned way up on high end that can lead to distortion and muddle the middle. The bass on these is fine although I have paired with a Visio sound bar and I let the sub handle most of the bass. Recommend.

I ordered these speakers from Amazon, I decided to try the renewed product which proved to be a very good decision. New, these speakers go for about $300.00 for the pair. Being renewed I paid $119.00 so if I didn't like them, I not out that much; No brainer.I was elated when I received these little gems in absolutely perfect condition. As it turns out, I do like them, In fact, I like them more than I thought I would. One reviewer said that the bass and treble are bumped up a bit to which I totally agree, this is how I personally like my music, every EQ I ever owned would reflect that. I have these Jamo's in my small home office. I paired them With the Denon 2.1 Channel DRA 800H receiver with great results.I am not an audiophile by any stretch of the imagination, but I do know what I like. If audio equipment brings clarity in a way that puts a smile on your face, while taking you to a place you haven't been to for a long time it's a win.
