I have been using these the duration of the last 2 years in art school for ceramics. They are THE best. I tried ordering another kind on Amazon and they were extremely thin and scratchy/textures and changed shape immediately once wet. Very disappointing. I couldn't remember the previous kind I had bought and long behold, searched my Amazon orders and these popped up from 2 years ago. Penguin pottery is a solid, staple brand in my experience using them. I also use their wedging boards and wax before glazing. Great company and you can tell they take great care into making sure their customers get high quality stuff. Thank you guys so much.

To thin, when you use it to round out cup rims or bowl lips it folds/ rolls up on itself. The size is ok, however, when I do big pots its not enough.

Very nice chamois. 5 pieces 3 3/4 x 3 inch. A little pricey but "is what it is". Should last me a while and at that price I wont be giving a lot of it away to friends :)

I purchased this item to use to smooth edges on wheel thrown pottery. This item is perfect for smoothing the edges of cups, mugs, bowls and plates. The size is just right so that you are not working with too much chamois as to interfere with the finishing of your pottery.
