NuTone S97013576 Grille for 676 and 684 Ceiling Fans

Exactly what I needed, fit great. A little comber some to snap the springs in, could have been 1 in longer.

My fan cover 20+ years old, removed to clean it from dust, I broke off. I did a search via Amazon image search and was able to locate it easily.

It’s expensive and very fragile. I broke the original one while cleaning. It is very tight getting the prongs in the slots. Take your time or you will break it before you get the new one in. It appears to be from OEM and does look good having a fresh unfaded grill. Clean the blower blades with a toothbrush while you have grill out. Pull debris down with toothbrush. Hit it with vacuum for a minute.

Needed to replace my bath fan grill after the small-cheap-plastic circlips that hold the springs broke. I admit I had removed and reinstalled the grill several times and probaby wore the clip out a bitdoing that, but if you want to vacuum the fan, grill & motor (as you should) it was necessary. On my latest vacuuming, I broke the last available circlip (meaning a small plastic molded piece that the spring snaps into). As an emergence repair - others might use it as a permanent repair. I drill 2 small holes in the grill next to the circlip and ran a small white zip-tie through and secured the spring in place using the zip-tie & cutting off the end. Not very noticable, as the zip was nearly the same color as the grill and would likely hold for next to forever.But I wanted it repaired correctly so I spent the money for a new grille. In looking at the old grill I noticed that the circlips (there are 4, two extra in case you break one I thought) then I masured and noticed that they were nearlyone inch apart in their distance from the one directly opposite. Then I measured the sllots in the fan housing that the springs fit into - mine was 7 inches apart. The grill circlips in the grille were 6" & 6-3/4" apart. I wondered if the circlips broke because I had over stretched them trying to get my fat hands inside to insert the springs into the slots? When my new grill arrived, I measured and found the springs installed at the 6 inch circlips. So I moved them to the 6-3/4 inch apart circlips and the grille springs did seem to install easier - by easier I mean more room for my hands, meanig less stress on the circlips.The way I see it the less stress I put on those small plastic circlips, the better. Measure your housing slots and move the springs to the circlips that most closely matches that distance. Be careful moving them, they break easily, even brand new ones.

Mon ancien cache de ventilateur de salle de bain était complètement jauni. Il jurait sérieusement avec le plafond fraîchement repeint. Je ne trouvais aucun modèle compatible dans les quincailleries à grande surface. En fouillant sur Amazon, j’ai finalement trouvé ce modèle identique à mon précédent.L’installation a été super simple, il couvre parfaitement la surface nécessaire et une fois les tiges de métal pliantes insérées dans les fentes, il est possible de bien ajuster les bords sur le plafond. J’ai essayé d’autres modèles sans succès avant. Il y avait toujours un écart avec le plafond.Les tiges de métal sont suffisamment souples pour permettre de retirer la plaque régulièrement pour fins de nettoyage et de la replacer sans compromettre la solidité de l’ensemble. Le cache proprement dit est fait de plastique dur et n’est donc pas susceptible de se déformer avec le temps.Je suis donc très satisfaite de ce produit. Je le recommande.

They are great. You just have to careful how you pull the arms out initially to prevent breaking the plastic. You pull them forward and upwards. If you just lift them upwards you will crack the plastic bracket they sit in.
