Yes, it actually is listed as gluten free on the front of the bag.

Do these meals give you gas?

I use these for backpacking and I do not feel that these meals increase gas. The Pad Thai is no exception either. There is a red beans and rice offering that could increase gas some I bet.

Is this item gluten free?

My package states on the front that it is gluten free and vegan however the back says that it is produced in a facility that processes peanuts milk soy wheat gluten egg and tree nut.

i , too, received old rotation and all mine expire in 2 years!!! I specifically ordered these for emergency , as they stated a 7 year shelf life .. not happy !
