Standard Fits a Petite or slender Female. Covers RC
Standard size great for petites. IWhile the fuzzy covering fabric is not as comfortable as some of today’s gel ice packs, it is not too bad. Soft flannel-like feel rather than rubbery plastic next to skin. Pretty good coverage on the shoulder. Covers the acromion (shoulder bone in ‘epaulet’ area) and drapes well over the upper arm. That fit (with funny-looking segmented cut of the pad) ensures that I get to ice the rotator cuff area pretty completely, while also icing the humerus head and soft tissue of upper arm. I would imagine that any big-boned female or average man would prefer the XL size currently on offer. Chills fast (mfr asks user to chill the apparatus inside a provided zip loc bag) and does the job. None of these shoulder chillers seems to be particularly good at solo donning (I do need help) so it pays to freeze it with Velcro straps deployed .

Helps reduce pain
My shoulder was injured last year in September while at work after a patient pulled my arm causing a high grade rotator cuff tear and a small labrum tear. I don’t like taking medication for pain if I can avoid it at all cause. This ice pack helped so much with the pain and continues to do so now. I finally underwent surgery for my shoulder 2 weeks ago and this has been a huge help with my recovery process. The Velcro straps help the ice pack stay in place, especially while sleeping. I’m petite and this definitely fits comfortably and get good coverage area. I’m extremely happy I purchased this last year in September. It has been my best friend since and especially now post surgery.

Stays cold and stays put, but heavy
The idea of this ice pack is great - being able to apply it and have it stay in place so you can do other things at the same time. But if you are in severe pain, like my husband was before a neck surgery, it’s actually pretty heavy. It definitely stays cold a long time, but the condensation gets you pretty wet. I’d say this might be a great solution for someone after a shoulder surgery, but we didn’t find it helpful before surgery.

Great product!
I’ve been using this every day/ night since my rotator cuff surgery. I also use it on my lower back. It’s thin enough to not cause pain while laying on it. One side is covered with soft fabric that softens the blow of the freezing cold on your skin. Other side isn’t covered so cold is more direct to skin, sometimes a little too much for me but doesn’t take long to relax into it. I’ll continue using this long after recovery. Don’t know how I would’ve survived without it!

Chills shoulder, reduces pain, and stays in place.
Worked well for keeping my shoulder area cool and helped a lot with reducing my pain from post-rotator cuff surgery. Easy to re-chill for re-use. I bought two of these so that I'd always have a cold one to use while the other was re-chilling in the freezer. A little awkward to put on myself without help, but I learned tricks to make that work for me in the middle of the night, such as leaning against the counter to hold a strap in place while I handled getting it on and ready to use. Despite this, it is a great item for riding in the car, or for sitting in a lounge chair, or for walking around--keeping my shoulder chilled.

Lifesaver after rotator cuff surgery
I ordered this for my husband after he had surgery on his rotator cuff and it has been a real lifesaver. Once I saw how nice it was made and how well it stayed in place with the adjustable straps, I decided to order a second one so that I could have a backup ready when the cold wore off. I wasn’t expecting such a nice product for such a low cost but I was pleasantly surprised. Not only that but I was label to get it delivered the same day which was a huge blessing. I would definitely recommend this product and this company. Follow the instructions and put the ice pack in the bag they provide for you (they provide it for a reason) otherwise it will get too stiff like ice. Yes, I tried ignoring the instructions on the 2nd one I ordered to save myself time and found out the hard way. It didn’t ruin it, I just had to let it thaw and put it in the bag and refreeze it. Learn from my mistakes, follow the instructions and you’ll love it!

The shoulder is not 100% yet. But this shoulder ice pack was/is fabulous. The fact I can move about with the ice pack on and not having to hold it in place, is really what I needed. I will tell friends and family where they can buy one. Because they won't be getting the one I have. Because I know, I would never see it again.

Didn't need it wrapped around my bicep one day so I put a can of beer in that part, worked a treat and saved me a trip to the fridge 😀

I bought this product for a strained shoulder and arm. Best Ice Pack Ever! It fits very well and stays in place. The bonus is you can put it on yourself. Before you put it on you first need to set the velcro loosely for the arm section then the shoulder section. I put it over my head first, then I slide my injured arm in and tighten the arm velcro, I then place the shoulder section where I want it and take my opposite arm and slide it under the strap of the shoulder and it automatically navigates under your arm, you then tighten the velcro strap and voila, you did it yourself. I first ordered the standard size but I found the shoulder strap was not long enough and couldn't manipulate it easily so I returned it to order the XL which the shoulder strap is longer so I can slide my opposite arm under strap with ease and tighten it with ease. I would order XL if you are 140 lbs or more.
