I don't put my gopro in water so this is ideal for not having to remove the cover just to dock the GoPro. Cheaper than gopros alternative too and as good quality.

I had a metal ulanzi battery door on my hero 8 and thought this would do the trick.First of all, the usb type C opening is a very tight fit and doesn't really feel of high quality.The battery door has been fully closed and clipped in at the bottom and left recording, but I came to find after going to look for the footage that the battery had moved slightly away from its contacts causing the camera to die and as a result I only had a small portion of my footage, this has happened a few times.I suspect it is because there was not enough foam inside to keep the battery in place. I was not performing any rigorous activity, it was strapped inside an airplane cockpit to record footage, which is a fairly stable environment.I wouldn't recommend this product as it doesn't feel very well made. Go for a metal one that slides up and down to lock in to place like the original battery door.

Great product and very well made. Allows charge cable to be fitted easily now without the need to leave the door open. Great for running off a power bank.
