These watercolors are tremendous fun when ever so lightly sprinkled on paper. Really, just a few crumbs are PLENTY! Some of my students come to me during recess in hopes of doing something artsy, and these paints are just the ticket when spectacular results are desired in very little time. Pierce one hole (there's no need for a second hole) in the plastic cap, then tap the jar with a finger to release a few crumbs onto the paper. Cleanup is a snap because there isn't any -- unless you miss the paper while tapping the jar. :). Once the crumbs are where you want them, lightly mist the paper. A misting bottle is conveniently included in the package. Colors can be moved and blended as in standard watercolor. Stick to using two colors that are adjacent on the color wheel, e.g. yellow and orange, until you're familiar and comfortable with the misting. By doing this, If the water (and color) runs, you won't make "mud". I take an 8.5" x 11" piece of cardstock, distribute color, mist it, let it dry, then cut it into 4 backgrounds for cards.Another way to use Brusho is to start with watercolor paper, wet it with a brush, and then gently distribute the crumbs of color. Mixing and moving colors on watercolor paper is easier and less likely to cause the paper to pill than if you try it on cardstock. Once dry, the watercolor paper can be cut for cards.For parents looking for something not-too-messy for children, this is IDEAL. Limit the water quantity in the misting bottle. Limit the amount of paint by cutting cotton swabs in half and dispensing the paint crumbs from the STICK end, not the cotton end. Place a limited amount of paint crumbs into an empty ice tray (for instance), perhaps 1/4 the volume of the cottony part of the cotton swab. If cotton swabs aren't available, use the coffee stir sticks that are miniature straws. Cut one end diagonally to create a tiny scoop for the crumbs. With the purchase of some inexpensive index cards, a child could be painting for hours! Adults may wish to be a little more adventurous with the amount of paint and water.

The powder can easily get EVERYWHERE. Highly recommend watching YouTube video on using this stuff before you ever open a container. Very pretty and will have a lot of uses - but MESSY.

This is a better value than the competing product, about twice the color crystals for the money. But the containers are not very useful. I have purchased tiny squeeze containers for easier use. It is also a bit strange that the 6 color set does not include ultramarine, instead there is a turquoise. Still...great product and a good value.

These are amazing in how they react to water. Like other reviewers stated, you only need to use a little bit of powder. I do wish there was a membrane on the bottle (inside the cap) that you could puncture with a pin to shake out only what you need rather than relying on the little "spoon", as that is still too much to use at a time. I also wish that "black" was a color provided in the set.

I use this product for greeting card making. It is amazing! You can do so much with it and it is so much fun to use. Go online to find videos on different ways to use them. And they sound expensive initially but a little bit goes a long way and will last forever.

These watercolor crystals were very had to find in stores. So I am thrilled that Amazon has them. The colors are true to their descriptions and the crystals dry in the design that you make with them

I'm a watercolor artist and didn't think I'd like these, but I really do. They are fun! And give some texture and effects that my regular watercolors can't, due to the powdered formula. I like the fact that each color is actually an assortment of colors added, it adds to the interest. I like to sprinkle them onto already-wet watercolor paper, you can also start off dry and then spray with water, etc. Happy with my purchase.

This is the first time that I have used a product like this. They are great. I love them. I made some amazing cards that I gave out and they got many complements. I will buy them again when I run out.

Ich liebe diese Farben!Habe mir soeben die Große Packung mit 24 Farben bestellt. Die Effekte und Möglichkeiten machen absolut süchtig! Ich träume sogar davon, mit den Mega Farben zu kreieren.Man braucht nur einen Hauch Granulat und es "poppt" sowas von auf und leuchtet! Einfach zauberhaft!!!

Me han encantado, mojando bastante el papel hacen unos efectos preciosos para fondos, los botes son un poco pequeños,pero hay que tener el cuenta que hace falta muy poca cantidad y que no es algo que se use todos los días. El único problema que le veo es que no traen dosificador y en un descuido puedes vaciar el bote por accidente, yo le incluiría un dosificador tipo salero con tapadera.

My 2nd box of theses they are amazing, you can be really creative and it only takes a very small amount of crystal to do it, they should last quite a while if used with care.Lovely and bright and colour full, amazing how some thing like this works. And there's lots of tutorials on line on how they can be used. A must for any creative artist who wants to try something different.
