good fur for making costumes

The fur is the same color as the picture displays, and lies very thick when brushed down. However, it sheds like crazy (much more so than other fur that i've purchased) and if the fur isn't lying straight down it is very very thin and patchy. Sometimes, I have "bald" spots appear simply from the fur being tugged out. For the price, it's not bad. It gets the job done and functions how I'd like. But don't expect super high quality fur.

Material perfect for costume. Sewed nice. Only problem I needed full 2 yards. When the material was cut, the shaggy hair was cut straight across, so I had an area where the hair was not 3 1/2 inches long.

The backing is too light weight, not substantial enough. The faux fur comes out or fall out too easily, even just handling the fabric or looking at it - there is fur everywhere. I have never worked with such long pile before so maybe this is the norm. I don't think I will work with this type of faux fur again, its too messy and frustrating.
