I picked a narrow butcher block from BOOS for a stand up desk.

I purchased this as a cover for my stove top on the occasions when I wanted to use my stove top as a countertop. I was going to have one custom built when we discovered this site and found one the exact measurements I needed. I ordered it and it arrived in less than 48 hours. It is absolutely beautiful and matches perfectly a black walnut countertop in another part of the kitchen that was custom-made. It is so substantial. I have only had it a few weeks so cannot speak to the durability. However, it is so well-made I believe it will last forever. It is extremely heavy so would work beautifully as a countertop.

Perfect butcher block for my kitchen. Block had no damage. But I had to clean it off quite a bit to get the red dust off of it. It's on the pricey side but it's high quality. I highly recommend it for the kitchen.

Got this board to go along with a pizza oven. It's big and heavy. About 45-50lbs. But very sturdy.It makes a great center piece for serving homemade pizza.

Our block arrived covered in thick dirt. Wiping it off with a damp rag raised all the wood grain so badly that the block needed sanding and re-finishing. The wood is excellent quality vs. Lumber Liquidators or IKEA butcher block, but not sure it's worth the premium given the hours of additional work needed.

I bough it to extend my kitchen island. All of my guests comment on how much they love it.

We are using this as the countertop for our coffee bar. It is gorgeous.Love it. It is just as described.
