Only because they unearthed the bike rack they were locked to and slid the locked bikes off it.My guess my bikes were destroyed by criminals trying to get through this lock and chain or they would have had to otherwise cut through the bikes frame. Then the battery or bike would more than have likely been destroyed removing the battery out of the bike with no key with the battery/key interlock mechanism. I had taken the non normal seat post sized seat with me.Alot of work and energy spent being a criminal. Why not get off government hand outs, get a job and become a productive citizen.Off soapbox...I bought this lock set again due to its high quality.Box that the lock and chain were shipped in fell apart. Much more handling and one of the 2, lock or chain would have not made it.Better packaging would be a good idea.

The bike lock works well, and the addition of the 'noose link' makes it just long enough it to lock through the frame and both tires of my bike if the post isnt too thick. The lock is fairly heavy, but that is the point - it it weighed any less it would be compromising on security. Figuring out how to carry it took a bit of trial and error, but for me the best way to carry it was to loop it around my waist, though YMMV. I've also had some luck looping it around the crossbar on my bike, but it did shift around some while riding.The lock and chain came well packaged in some very nice foam, though with its construction it could probably have been thrown directly out of the plane and landed with just some scratches at my door.Other than the weight, my one nitpick about the device would be that the velcro that holds the fabric sheath on the links has a tendency to come loose. The sheath stays on decently well on its own, so it isnt an issue, but if you want the cleanest look then you might consider sewing the velcro tabs together since they shouldn't need to be removed often.

I purchased this 5 ft chain and lock to run between my tandem wheels on my travel trailer. It was the perfect length. I measured before ordering to make sure it would be long enough

I like this lock well enough, but sometimes I need to jiggle it a good bit to actually separate it. The key turns all the way without issue, it just doesn’t disengage without a little coaxing. I don’t hate it enough to return it, and I’d probably still buy it again. It’s just not living up to its potential.

I bought this Lock based on a good review from the lock picking lawyer on YouTube. I was going to put it on my adult daughters bicycle.Like a typical man, I bought the biggest, strongest thing I could find to give her maximum security. When I got it, honestly, it was ridiculously large and heavy and unwieldy for a bicycle. It is a serious piece of hardware that is very secure. I would use it for a lot of other things like a motorcycle or a trailer but not a bicycle. I ended up buying a lighter weight lock from the same manufacturer that worked out fine.

The lock doesn't feel all that sturdy. But the chain, oh man, the chain is wicked. All in all I'm satisfied besides the fact that it's a pain in the ass to carry in a backpack. Thinking about getting a motorcycle bag for my passenger seat so that I don't have to Lug this on my back on long trips

this lock is hard core, just looking at it you would doubt the ability to cut it with anything, maybe with a diamond blade and electric edge cutter or what ever, its pretty heavy almost 9 pounds, but this will deter alot of people from even trying to cut it with anything, I pair it with another U lock, lock picking lawyer recommded the lock so that was a big reason to get it, feels secure I lock my ebike with it

Got this for my dirt bike its kept in an unlocked shed at night worried someone will steal it. This definitely gives me peace of mind I noticed the lock was pretty solid had bit of fight opening it the odd time but if I have replace the lock I’m still happy to have this hulk like chain… update After only having my chain and unlocking it a handful of times the lock itself broke the key was useless read chain replace the lock frustrating

First off, this chain lock is beefy and appears fairly robust. The links are about on par with say...the bigger Kryptonite chain locks. A nice touch was to 8nclude so many keys!While it is too soon to speak about reliability on the lock itself, I would suggest the following tips:1) When using this lock, ensure that the chain and lock are not at ground level. Why? Thieves can use the ground as leverage when using bolt cutters.2) Regularly lubricate the lock fully with a good rust repellant / lube like Fluid Film or similar3) Avoid use in wet or damp conditions as it can cause your lock to seize up earlier
