Kaytee3 Pack of Chew-Proof Small Pet Water Bottles, 12 Ounce Capacity, for Rabbits, Ferrets, Guinea Pigs and Chinchillas

I’ve bought these bottles before but something’s changed with the design. There’s a green rubber bit in the bottom of the plastic cap in the versions I got this time. These bottles released water for the first few dribbles as I always test them a bit with my finger after setting them up. Everything seemed fine. The next morning, I noticed that my rat would not stop trying to drink from the bottle and no air bubbles were happening. The bottles were still full. BOTH bottles had failed. I opened up one bottle, closed it, some water came out, so I put it back up. It worked for a little while until it failed AGAIN. I put an old bottle up and a water dish as backup along with 1 new bottle that I reseated again.I’ve had even the old ones fail occasionally, which is why I always have 2-4 bottles up in my cage at any given time. The most I’ve ever had fail at once before was 3. This new design makes me nervous. I don’t like how it works initially and then doesn’t release water, since it gives me a false sense of security.

Newer style of nipple / cap is terrible. They are not bonded together. There's a plastic insert and the nipple and cap out of metal are in two pieces. So the nipple rotates around in the cap and eventually (about two weeks) they start dripping because the nipple no longer seals.

Followed the directions, filled the bottle to the line, mounted them on the cage. They started dripping. Directions said a few initial drops are normal while the vacuum forms. Woke up to empty bottles and the bottom of the cage soaked. Tried a few other things. Still leaked. Sending them back.

I spent the money on a 3 pack but only received 1 water bottle. What a waste of money. But definitely chew proof. The one that I did receive is missing the cap...$23 and very disappointed.

Love these Bolles. Leak proof, glass so they stay clean, and formed so the fit the cage wall and the attachment. So much better than plastic.

I liked the price and quality. But it's hard to get the flat side of the bottle lined up with the spout after refilling. Aside from that, they work great for our rabbits. And are much better than the plastic ones.

Bought a package of 3 and 2 of the 3 do not work. Tested bottles when filled and they worked fine. Next day no water comes out.
