Not a bad little belt for light summer shorts,,,buckle is plastic (on the thin side) and like i said is good for simple shorts,,,i think you would be looking for something with sturdier buckle for heavy trousers though,,,i like it and its been great light weight belt with casual shorts for skateboarding in summer
