New Trent PowerPak Xtreme 12000mAh Rugged Water/Dirt/Shockproof Dual USB Port External Battery Charger/Power Pack for Smartphones, Tablets and More

Bought this for traveling. The idea of it being shock and water resistant (so long as the ports are closed) appealed to be especially for use with snow and at beaches. I. Love. This. I have an HTC and so far I got 3 full charges from it, and it still has some juice. It takes a long time to charge (overnight with my HTC charger), but it holds a LOT of charge.There are indicator lights on one side of the orange to show how much charge it has. They're not on constantly except for when plugged in.There is an on/off switch on the side (haven't quite figured that one out, but I didn't read the directions, either.)It's a manageable size that fits in the side pocket of my backpack, in my smaller purses, and even the back pocket of my cycling jerseys (though it is a little heavy, but still manageable.)It does not come with a charger.The door that covers the ports and protects it from water is extremely secure, and not easy to open (that's a good thing!)Extremely durable.Piece on the end allows you to tie it to something (a cord, cable, whatever)Rubberized side grips so it's not easy to drop, even when wet.Perfect if you use your phone a lot and go through charge, but can't sit somewhere long enough to fully charge your device.

I am in the Army, so when I ordered a rugged battery I knew it would be put to the test. I could not be happier with this product. I saw this battery and was skeptical at first because I thought something that promised this much should be more expensive. My thought was that for the price if it could at least survive one or two drops and could stop a little dirt it would be worth it. I was ecstatic when after I took it to the field for over 3 months it was still performing wonderfully. During our exercise it survived not one or two, but at least a half dozen falls onto solid rock as well as being soaked several times in a downpour. I cannot say if it is completely waterproof as I have not had it fully submerged in water, but it was soaked in a downpour with 25 mph winds as it sat on the hood of a Humvee and still works fine so unless you plan on charging your phone while scuba diving or snorkeling, what more do you need? My CSM came to our site and needed a charge for his phone, I lent him this product and after using it said he would be buying his own. That is a good seal of approval if you ask me.

I've never owned one of these charging packs before, so I did a lot of looking and a lot of research before I purchased one. I'm an outdoor kind of person so it was essential to have a charging pack that would last for multiple charges, but be rugged enough to be dropped or rained on and still function properly. Through all my digging I finally landed upon a company called New Trent. The reviews on their products were solid and it was exactly what I was looking for. As soon as I received the power pack I could just tell by the feel and rugged construction it was a good purchase. So far I have been very happy with it! I work long hours on road construction and my phone needs to be charged so people can get ahold of me on and off the work site. I have an iPhone 5 and I'll let it get down to 20% battery before I plug it in. Once it's plugged in ill charge it to about 95% which honestly doesn't take long at all. An hour tops. I will repeat this process for nearly 2 weeks and then I will finally have to charge the power pack. This product has been awesome so far and I can't wait to see how long it holds up!

THIS IS AN ABSOLUTELY AMAZING PRODUCT.I was absolutely SHOCKED how many times this can charge my phone without having to recharge. Absolutely INSANE. I got almost 10 0-100% charges on my Galaxy S4 out of this thing. It takes a while to charge, but that is completely understandable because of the sheer amount of power this thing can hold.The build quality is very sturdy as well. I have no problem taking this hiking and attaching it to the outside of my backpack where it's exposed to the elements. This was attached to the outside of my backpack in the rain and I had no issues, so it looks like the claim that this is waterproof is accurate as well. I probably wouldn't take it diving (lol), but anything short of that should work fine.Absolutely amazing product for the super low price. I'll definitely be recommending this to anyone who asks!

This PowerPax is awesome!!!! I received it yesterday, charged it and have been putting it through a series of test. I gave been charging my IPhone and Ipad2 Only with the PowerPax. so far here are some results. I have charged my Phone at 50% , 28%, and 52% power back to 100%. I have charged my IPad2 at 72% back to full. I still have 3 out of 4 power lights on. The construction is very solid and I know it will last. I go out on my Boat in the Gulf, Hunt in all types of extreme weather and will be putting this to all types of test. I have a GoPro Hero3 Black that will be getting charged many times in the future. What a great product!!!!! I will be buying more products from New Trent

This is my 2nd purchase of this product. The first one I got worked great for a month, so I order a second one. This did not work out of the box. It will not charge my GoPro, S5, nor my wife's phone. I have tried different cables and checked the charge. It will charge if I connect power to the device and connect my S5 and my wife's phone, but who needs that. I am sending this one back.And now my 1st unit does not work either. I noticed last night my S5 would indicate charging and sometimes it would not. I tried charging my 1st device (BTW I am using a New Trent rapid charge AC charger) and once unplugged my phone would report charging, but once I unplugged the cable ( tried different cables) and plugged it back it... no charge on either port.I am 3 days out of Amazon return policy, so I contacted New Trent and got a nice reply letting me know they were closed for the weekend and would respond once they reopen.I will update this as I know more.
