My old cloth oven mitts had served our family well evidenced by tiny holes, little scorch marks, and multiple stains. One thumb even found a hole large enough to peep through resulting in many sad, blistered thumbs; the search began. Having heard good things about silicone oven mitts, I thought I would give those a try. This pair, most likely because they were pink, were on sale at a significant discount; they won the lottery and were ordered. Don't worry, you have 10 other color options. However, the main requirement was that the mitt cover a good portion of the forearm which these do at 14.5 inches. The silicone material (which the ad states is BPA free) coupled with the textured pattern ensure a secure, non-slip grip which has alleviated worrying about dropping the dish or pan. Silicone tolerates very high heat without difficulty (up to 484F unlike cotton mitts according to the ad which makes them safe to use with the grill) eliminating worries about the hot item burning through to the skin. The inside of the mitt is thickly padded, fits securely, and is quite comfortable. The mitts are very easy to clean with no staining or residue absorbed or left behind. The only minor drawback is that for those with very large hands they may fit snugly. Although when my husband tried them on, he noted that the mitts were indeed snug, but they were not uncomfortable at all and did not limit or interfere with his usage of the mitts. Along with great heat protection, these mitts also relieve worries and add an element of security contributing to the enjoyment of cooking. These are lovely. I have been trying to upgrade my kitchen and replace what I can with wood and silicon. These were well worth the price. I like how well they are designed, the inside is soft and the silicon grips pots and pans with ease. They fit well too, for my small build, I have plenty of protection up my arm with the oven mitts.

I like these oven mitts very much. They keep my hands cool while looking good. Are easy to slip on and off, are non slip when holding bowls, pots, and pie pans. Since they are all silicone, washing is easy and my hands stay dry. I highly recommend these.

The best of al previous worlds. Obviously are heat resistant, but also flexible, washable, and extend up the arm far enough that you don't get those nasty arm burns on the oven perimeter edge.

Definitely protects hands from hot ovens and hot pans; these say they are rated for higher heat than some competitors. Seems well made, with a comfortable cotton-y lining. My only nits are these are one size and only available in black. I have small hands, so these are a bit large and don't give me the best grip, especially grabbing things like casseroles or other oven-safe cookware with higher sides or small side handles. Also, would have like a fun color instead of just black.

I love these! No sweating it when reaching into the oven to pull out a baked cake or meatloaf. My entire hand is protected up to half my forearm. They are easy to clean and are impressively good at handling things, no slips and a good feel for what I'm carrying -- not a kind of numbness that we get from bulky potholders.

Fits my hands with wiggle room, and hubby's just fine. Would guess the mitts are medium-large-fits-most adults size. Thick and flexible enough to do the job well. Coverage was exactly what we were looking for -covers the wrist but didn't go far up the arm. We both like them. No problem with pulling pans straight from the oven. Loops function as expected. Nice deep blue color too.

The best of many oven mits I have used. Long lasting. No burns. Good quality and value. I don’t need to buy them again, but I would definitely recommend them for purchase!
